Horrible that tonight after going 1-0 up. Playing in dangerous territory for a good 70 mins. There’s no pace or directness in this team. Pretty much one dimensional with no plan B yet again. Nobody can beat a man and we lack that killer instinct up top. All this noise about Hourihane not being able to cut it is rubbish. He’d make us better with that delivery of his at least. Surely a time for a run of games to get him fit. Might as well concentrate on set plays and knock downs with the severe lack of pace we have until Jan. He’s head and shoulders above any of this lot when fit. Come on Conor…..the coaching can wait.
Would love to see some figures on what we actually achieve from Luca's corners, they don't feel particularly productive.
Waste of time, not fit enough and his heart isn't in it anymore. The club played us like a fiddle with that bit of business, same as Nwakali and the left wing back. Terrible transfer business that is currently been papered over with the points on the board, if they stop it will get toxic....... Again. The manager will take the fall but it is those above him where the problems lie, always has been.

So you genuinely believe that the club signed 3 not very good players with the key aim not to improve the squad, but to trick the fans?
We needed two strikers (we didn't sign any), two left sided defenders, one comfortable with playing as a straight up left back rather than a wingback (we signed someone who the manager clearly doesn't rate in either position), a keeper (Christ knows how bad Smith is if he can't get on the bench ahead of Killip, who should not have been re-signed under any circumstances), a right back, not wingback (we didn't), so what did we sign? WORST TRANSFER WINDOW EVER. Recruitment team are a disgrace.
We've had the wool pulled over our eyes being told he was a player coach when he'd have to play to be called one.
I did add that due to this we may as well utilise Hourihane for his delivery as our options are pretty poor. Set plays and his delivery are the best in the squad. He’s not the answer for pace but what other options are there within the squad to do something different? We have 70x midfielders all with similar abilities. One of them has the best delivery I’ve ever seen at Oakwell. Sixpence of a left foot. Needs must until we can address the squad in Jan.
Its really weird that a 36 year old Lee Gregory and 38 year old Stephen Quinn - neither of whom, to my knowledge, have played in the Premier League - can prove valuable in this league, and a 33 year old Hourihane can't. Very weird.
How did the club play us like a fiddle in regards to player transfers? Did they say they were world class when they signed? When did bad transfers suddenly turn into board conning the fans ? I don't get it
Problem we have is Luca Connell is more sideways and backwards than Mcphail with no end product. That and he's Captain. I'd pension him off and tell Hourihane to get on the protein shakes.
As bad as we look as a team we are still 5th in the league with lots of room for improvement, I do agree that the summer transfer business doesn't look great though.
Hourihane should be sitting in the midfield dictating play, adding control and tempo to what is currently a frenzied game of non-stop pinball with nobody able to put a foot on it, resulting in a catastrophic degree of instantly lost possession. I’m still too traumatised to address some of our kamikaze ‘defending’.
