Noticed Reading have away tickets on sale for a few games in October, but not for our game at Oakwell on Saturday 12th! Barnsley are also not currently selling them! Does this look like it’s getting called off for internationals?
Certain to be off. Reading I believe have four internationals and you only need three for a cancellation.
So unless we get a home draw in FA Cup 1st round (and it's held on the Saturday), there's not going to be a Saturday home game for two months? Not ideal.
That's the way Football sadly is now. It should mean a few more Blackpool tickets sold for a Football fix and when it's rearranged it will be and extra Sky Sports Plus game with it being midweek.
Amazing how a team 15th in League 1 can get a game called off because a few of their players have been called up for what are presumably U21 teams or lower ranked sides. Reading haven't even said which of their players it's likely to be. Absolute joke and pissing supporters about/ruining plans yet again.
this has almost become the norm. EFL should act and not put any league matches on in an international break. Clubs should be pressing for this asap
Don’t think these postponements should be a thing from 3rd tier down. However where we are at as a team a bit more time on the training pitch might not be a bad thing.
After tomorrow night, we'll have played just 2 of our first 5 home games on a Saturday at 3pm, the preferred time for the vast majority of fans. This latest postponement will just add to the list. We've got several more matches to come which are due not to be played on a Saturday afternoon. For supporters who live a fair way from Barnsley, and find it difficult making evening fixtures, a season ticket is becoming an increasingly unattractive option.
And the next game is on 23rd Nov!! So in 4 months we have 3 games at 3pm on a Saturday. Makes a ST really poor value if you don’t live near Tarn
