Look at Ipswich, built a team to challenge for promotion from the championship while they were in league one. They didn't particularly break the bank though. Just smart recruitment.

New owners don't suddenly triple their income while playing in a lower division - with lower tv and gate receipts.

Looks like it. They averaged 16k, 16k and 21k in their last three championship seasons - they're averaging 28k now. They've also got major US sponsors like Delta.

They lost £26m/year in 2021/22 and 2022/23. Probably a £6m/year loss of TV revenue since, but that is canceled out by the Delta sponsorship. Even an extra 10k per match at £30 each only comes to around £6million and they've splashed £15m on one player.

Before is irrelevant, it what their current lot do. Delta is one of many new US sponsorships they've got, they've probably doubled their turnover. More than likely back in the Prem in the next 3 years.

A company that is losing £26m/year doesn't suddenly become financially viable because they have new owners. They would still be losing £26m/year - +/- the changes to income. Which don't add up to £26m/year. I'll be surprised if they aren't still making a loss.

Do you feel jealous pal? I’ve been watching the reds 46yrs, and jealousy is probably one of the few emotions I’ve never associated with football.

    You said,
"I don’t know anyone personally that advocates buying success at BFC, and I certainly don’t."

There's plenty/some who do on here and possibly in the fanbase. Look at the clamour and reaction both before and after when Conway and his bunch of fake money men bought the club.

If we found someone to throw £10m on players most would forget about Brum or anyone else buying success.

    FMMV. :D

I also said, “Of course there will be some on here that would like to see the club go down that route with no reservations”

I was responding to how they have the money, not how they have tripled their income.

Didn’t spend huge money on transfers but over £10 million a year in wages in their promotion season, roughly double ours.
