Lots of talk about punches being thrown and things being chucked. Just seen this. What an embarrassment to our club she is. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/q1jPnkMv4BScSbds/
No idea what happened to trigger it but there’s no place for that Another example of idiots among our away following.
Don’t know why they do it and don’t defend them in any way, but it looked to me like stewards were holding Huddersfield fans back as well, so let’s not pretend it’s only our ‘fans’. Been to Huddersfield loads of times and they always manage to stop near where our coaches park and start goading and causing trouble.
Same old you only see one side of the story. Huddersfield fans are no angels went in the f.a Cup a few seasons back loads of bother after the game near coach's etc. Coins pinging, about been thrown from the stand to the left of the away end.
It's a sub culture within football fans across all clubs. By all means call it it out but it's not just us. It's a deeper problem.
What's she done wrong? Couldn't hear what she said but looks like she's reacting to something from the Huddersfield fans.
A Huddersfield fan spat at someone sat just in front of where this was going on but I'm not sure this has any relation to it. There's plenty of room in the ground that they don't have to have fans so close together and avoid issues like this.
Didn't notice anything other than the usual banter stuff until the first goal went in and then it seemed to turn a bit nastier. Got worse again after the second goal and the mass move to the exit. Don't think our fans were any worse than the Huddersfield ones. Both sides were antagonising the other at that point. No idea who started throwing the bottles, coins and what appeared to be cups of pi55 but again both sides were at. On the walk out of the complex there were small pockets of Huddersfield fans stopping near our coaches to goad those waiting to board. They weren't moved on quick enough. One of our lot threw a pink flare/smoke bomb into a bunch of home fans walking up the ramp. Stupid thing to do but no action taken by WYP who were stood there in numbers. Walking up Stadium Way or whatever it's called there were pockets of both fans arguing and threatening each other but nothing seemed to come of it, largely because it was teens trying to look hard. That away end is badly segregated and the stadium complex poorly designed for ensuring fans leave the area as separately as possible. It wouldn't be a problem but for the idiots of course.
That away end is the closest I've ever known opposing fans be to each other. Every time we go I'm amazed there isn't trouble as Huddersfield fans regularly climb over the segregation and effectively goad away fans within touching distance. This happened yesterday but no one really reacted. After the 2nd goal and at full time there were numerous bottles and cans thrown into the away end. One full can smacked a barnsley fan on the back of the neck and drenched him with beer. A bottle whizzed past my head and there has been a rumour of spitting too. At this point it seems some of our following reacted. In this case it was very much the home fans causing the issues, with a small number of ours reacting. On the way back to the station, pockets of Huddersfield supporters regularly tried to good and taunt 2 small groups of our fans, with the police eventually coralling our lot to the side of the road. They then moved the home fans on. Again... and this is said without bias but instead just for balance, it was the home supporters looking for bother.
Interestingly you only get the what’s she’s responding to. Would be interesting to see provocation that probably also came from the Udders fans. Not condoning but I doubt it was done without provocation.
Imagine buying a ticket and finding yourself sitting in that area. Some people may relish that kind of confrontation, but what about older people or ones with kids?
give ovver since when was an air slap assault! Even if she had made contact with somebody they wouldn't have noticed
My son and I had the 2 seats next to the barrier separating home and away fans - seats 65 + 66. When we arrived they and the next four seats were occupied by a group of 9/10 young lads. Noticing the position of our actual seats I agreed to let them stay where they were as long as we could have the 2 next to the aisle, still only 8-10 seats away from the barrier but better than our actual seats. I was pleased with that decision when it kicked off late on!
Hardly assult or attempted assult. Not sure why she's so pissed off but if someone had spat at me or threw bottles etc I can understand why. Especially spitting dirty ********
And there's some pathetic insulting Huddersfield 'fans' comments on there. Don't they make you sick as well!.
Football clubs should allow fans who want to fight a designated area for fighting and goading. Anybody who wants a 'bit of aggro' can go to this area and indulge in fisticuffs at will. Caveat is there is no medical assistance whatsoever if there is injury.
