Chairman Neerav Parekh will join CEO Jon Flatman and Sporting Director Mladen Sormaz at our first fans forum of the season at Oakwell on Wednesday 23rd October. Improving communications between senior figures at the Club and the fan base has been a key objective for the board this season and the event will give supporters the opportunity to ask questions in an open forum which will also be pushed out across the Clubs social media channels throughout the evening. CEO Jon Flatman said, “It is vitally important that we give fans the opportunity to meet with us and discuss all manner of questions from on the field performance to matchday experience, stadium redevelopments and beyond. We feel that that Fan Advisory Board has been a huge step forward, but the fans forum allows 200+ Reds to come together at Oakwell and speak directly to us. The Fans Forum will begin at 6pm. The event will be held in the Natural Cement Legends Suite at Oakwell. Tickets are free and will be available on a first come, first served basis by clicking below or by contacting the box office in person or over the phone (01226 211183) from 10am tomorrow(Friday). *Please note that tickets booked online will need to be assigned to the attendees Book Tickets Here Continue reading...
Classic. Click on the link and there's 3 matches available to book and the stadium tour. Great start lads.
Reckon there will be. I cant make it as Im off on holiday that day but you’d think there will be some updates on the cap-ex projects like safe standing and the new fan zone at the very least. I guess they will be hoping for an improvement in form before then
Can we request that they put in place some decent audio equipment for the streaming of this? Can never hear the questions properly, I'm sure last time I mistakenly heard someone ask if Aaron Iseka was adulterous...bad audio...
Imho ...Well done the club.. keep talking to the supporters. Oh and please listen to the fans. Hope the format is more professional than fans asking if they can change the bog roll holder in one of the stands. Good stuff...On a personal level, I will not be attending but would be interested in their interpretation of our present squad and their vision of tactics etc for the remainder of the season.
This is a fans forum. As said, updates will be given as to what lies ahead re the stadium proposals and as to where they are at. The lease imo gave the go ahead on that front. Slightly different to the fans engagement/Fan advisory board. Comms are an improvement. But actions speak louder than words. And hopefully not far down the line. Tickets become available 10am tomorrow. I can only think they rushed out the event too soon. Or neglected to mention it. I agree proof reading needs to be done and links trialled afore announcement.
I don't think this is something to grumble about, it's a positive that they do these face to face for whoever wishes to go. There s complaints that the same old fans get the ear of the club, but this is open to anyone.
Some people on here complain about every single post, action, inaction, etc. from the club. It becomes so tiresome.
My guess is that the people on here slagging off the club left, right and centre and saying it's only for happy clappers, will not attend, even though they are able to and I really believe that they should. I'm tired of questions about tea and coffee as well, and we need some strong opinions and honest, sensible views from genuine supporters at this kind of event. It's brave of the club to put on such an event at the current time, given the on-field performances and the general fan apathy, so let's make it worthwhile. If you want to voice your views, get yourself a ticket and let's make it a constructive and productive evening.
The short turnaround from announcing it to it happening gives vibes of it being arranged at short notice due to current form.
Clarke and JAQ (to a lesser extent) not attending speaks VOLUMES. Nobody to field questions on the First Team, unless you're expecting Mladen to give honest, open answers to what will likely be questions around Clarke and his approach, it just isn't going to happen. "I'm not going to comment on something directly under the purview of the First Team Coach....."
This board never ceases to amaze me, The meeting clearly states it’s an opportunity to engage with Senior Figures in the club. You’ve got the largest shareholder, the CEO & DoF there you can’t get any more senior and all aspects of the club are covered by those 3.
