With the two dolly catches Pakistan dropped and the way they are batting now, the thought has occurred that the authorities might want to check for interesting betting patterns - it’s not like there is no history there of similar incident. I think they’re just tired and a bit crap in reality - but you never know.
Unbelievable day for England and we should wrap the victory up tomorrow. Bazball has its flaws but bloodyhell when it comes off it’s good!
Some more stats.. 1) Still an 100 percent win record when our opponents have put on over 500. 2) Leach has won 11 of his 14 tests in Asia. If he had been available for the India tour qe might have stood a chance. 3) Only the second time and first since 1976 that we've won a test in Asia by an innings.
Stunning Leach catch then their last man thought he was a batsman for a simple stumping. The win looked impossible a couple of days ago but this is yet another example of how great test cricket is
1976 …. I remember it reasonably well. I think it was the time of Deadly Derek Underwood. He was reputedly a slow leftie but he was more medium paced … loved watching him … second only to Swan as our best slow bowler. The match was in India and I don’t think we scored more than 450 in our innings

Just binge watched the highlights from Day 2 to 5. How special was that? Then I watched Nasser and Ward interviewing Root and Brook and what it meant to them including Nasser and Ward. You could see the emotion in the pundits. Made me well up a bit. Phenomenal achievement.
I reckon that we sometimes forget that cricket has and always will be a very important part of the commentators lives. It’s not just a job to them and to witness such momentous occasions will stay with them forever. Good post my friend
