Our Sky Bet League One clash against the Millers has been moved to Friday 8th November, with a 7:15pm kick-off. The fixture was originally planned for Monday 11th November, however, to avoid a possible cancellation because of international call-ups, the game will now take place at the earlier date. Tickets for the South Yorkshire meeting under the Oakwell lights are on sale now. If you have purchased corportate hospitality for this game, then our hospitality team will be in touch in due course. This fixture has also been selected for Sky Sports+. Buy tickets here Continue reading...
Another one I’ll probably not bother with. Monday was bad enough. It’s going to get to the point where buying a season ticket is economically unviable for me.
I wonder how many have enquired about getting a refund on their ST now that it’s almost impossible to organise anything too far in advance. I’m regretting renewing mine and not just because the entertainment value is low. I’ve put up with that for decades, on and off. It’s just all this chopping and changing with the fixture list that is getting too much.
This question ought to be asked at the fans forum (if anyone on here is going) I guess the Sky deal is for a number of years, and many STs will not be renewed because of it.
Totally agree. Similar journey to yourself (but West Yorkshire) which gets less appealing the older I get. But not knowing when a game is being played, or more to the point knowing that a good 25% of the original schedule is going to be changed, just makes next season look like a pick-and-choose season, sadly.
Thanks for raising this. Although this does not affect me, it does concern me, especially with the murmurings on here. Are the club aware of the effect the new TV deal may have on future ST sales? There may be more income for the club, but at the expense of the fans.
It’s just ****. The 23rd of November will be only our 3rd home game at 3pm on a Saturday. What’s the point? I wish I’d not got a season ticket
That's annoying. Monday's my only day off, and I was looking forward to settling in and watching that game, rather than half-catching it in the background at work!
Any idea why its a 7.15pm kick off? Given its going to be on sky, despite it being a derby, I can't see it being a huge crowd, and its hardly the case away fans have a huge journey.
