At league one level, amazing how that stats spun around recently isn't it? https://www.barnsleychronicle.com/article/29790/spirit-fantastic-as-reds-aim-to-prove-top-6-class
Yep only 2 weeks ago some were saying it was best start we’d had! The wheels definitely feel to have fallen off.
Best start weve ever had? No one said that. It was best start in 6 years after draw to Stockport. Would have been 40 years or something had we won.
We do have some good players but unfortunately, they don't seem to blend, we have the worst forward line in the division, and everyone who supports Barnsley knew this from day one the management never bought an out-and-out striker when Cole and co left, could we have too many coaches and is the Head-Coach up to the task only time will tell.
Clarke cannot stop himself and still seems to want to blame it on the players in that article. Take some personal responsibility because he is seeing what they do in training and sends them out with his plan. Not good enough, won’t ever be good enough, and a woeful pitiful bunch at the moment. League one obscurity if they are lucky. Allowed to happen by non-footballing people who want to run a Poundland club.
Yeah never said ever, but some were banging on as a response to criticism, that we were actually better off than in previous seasons.
1 point less than Collins and 2 less than Duff at this stage, but after 10 games last season we’d already lost 4 at home, and been knocked out of the league cup by Tranmere, again at fortress oakwell. Just feels the same as last season. We still had the Bradford thrashing to come, needed 2 attempts to get past Horsham, then got kicked out and the fanbase was split over Collins for the entire duration.
With a bit of shape and an actual game plan, this squad are perfectly capable of at least top 6 in this terrible division. Whether this is with or without Clarke is debatable but practice, drills and training are everything right now because there is no cohesion or trust in anything I’m watching. This isn’t helped by sticking with cosgrove week in and week out who in my opinion will go down as one of the worst strikers in the history of the club.
he's not covering himself in glory right now. Thing is with srikers, it's so much down to confidence as we saw in the run from Devante at the start of last season.
I’d like to think you’re right Helen, I really would but his end product for the time he’s been here is appalling and that’s without the dire standard of his overall game contribution being taken into account. I would love to eat humble pie with this and would happily hold my hands up about being wrong. Unfortunately, that’s unlikely.
Hes just not very mobile. If we had plenty of movement and runners i think he'd vastly improve... but we don't!
Our captain is the same here.... https://www.barnsleychronicle.com/a...ays-skipper-luca-as-he-vows-to-give-fans-more Looks very much like a dig at our defenders.
Not the case imo. I'm pretty sure he's aware of the intense pressure our backline have been under, due to issues all over the pitch.
