I'm half and half on this. I dont think he's an elite manager by any means, but he seems a brilliant cup/knockout manager. His system just suits cup football. He struggles over an entire season in the league imo but he could really suit England. There's much, much worse out there too.
His reputation is that he is quite abrasive in his communication with his bosses, continually pushing for more. Not necessarily a bad thing for someone with ambition but can’t see FA wanting that type person.
This might just force Man utd's hand to pull the trigger on Erik, heard Tuchel was top of Utd's list. The FA don't want to pay compensation apparently so Tuchel definitely ticks that box

Apparently he's said he's definitely willing to be England manager, he's open to it and wants a return to management. Whether that's true or not I dont know. Would it be weird have Tuchel or Löw? I know we've had foreign managers before but never a German!
Makes no odds to me mate on their nationality just want a successful team. I'm sure they'll be a large section of fans kicking off over world wars and all that stuff going on about Germans, but then in the next breath contradict themselves as we're happy to accept Cappello completing ignoring Mousollini and Italys involvement. Anyway for me, I wouldn't be against Tuchel I'm just not convinced on his style and his loyalty if a big club came knocking.
I haven’t followed his career closely outside of England but I thought he was excellent as Chelsea manager. I’d be very surprised if there’s anyone out there better than Tuchel who would take the job.
I think I'm same mate. In an ideal world he'd be English but... I know the 'big' nations all tend to have same nationality managers but we have a severe lack of talent and competence to choose from. If we do only go English I think we are shooting ourselves in the foot.
I’d have any nationality who got a tune out of these players……that performance Thursday was nothing short of shameful and an embarrassment!!!
If this happens I look forward to all those knuckle draggers singing the Ten German Bombers song and the irony of a German coach. Not that I would expect them to see the irony.
