For all the keyboard warriors, naysayers, and conspiracy theorists out there, tickets for the fans' forum are still available on the club website. Come and have your say, or if you don't, to put it as politely as I am able, "Shut the f*** up!"
I find it a bit disappointing that a member of the fan advisory board has such a poor attitude towards supporters speaking their minds. Referring to supporters as keyboard warriors and telling them to shut the **** up. Wow just wow In my opinion you've harmed the FAB groups credibility massively
Will they admit the only reason for this meeting to be announced and then take place with such a quick turnaround is because of our current form and it wasn't the "original plan"? I am absolutely certain if we had got 6-9 points against Stockport, Wycombe and Huddersfield instead of two then this wouldn't have been announced.
Why is the manager not attending? Is it because a poor result in our next game could see him sacked so they don’t know whether to risk advertising him & looking like fools more than they already do? The thought has crossed my mind…..
In fairness there are many many reasons it could have been arranged. It might have been the plan all along. It could be that the club saw bad feelings after the current form and so arranged it. It could be that someone called or emailed the club and requested it. It could be that the fab group requested it. It could be that they completely forgot to arrange one and remembered they did it at this time last year so quickly arranged one. It doesn't really matter why though because none of the reasons are a negative
Read my post again - I have no issue whatsoever with supporters speaking their minds, I welcome it, but please come and do it at the fans' forum.
I was referring to the disparaging language you used to describe supporters. Keyboard warriors and telling them to shut the **** up if they didn't attend this meeting. As I said, In my opinion you've harmed the fab groups reputation straight away. If I was someone in your category who didn't attend the meeting but had made critical posts then I certainly wouldn't contact you asking for help when I know how you speak about me for example.
He should be replaced. Our club shouldn't tolerate someone talking about the fans like that. Get someone in to the position who treats others with respect.
I don't think he should be replaced for one comment but should just personally learn that how he refers to supporters will affect what level of trust and respect supporters have in him to represent them. Everyone makes a comment occasionally that is ill thought out, nobody should be losing their position over one solitary comment (unless it's ridiculously offensive)
Please accept my apologies if I've upset anyone, this was never my intention; however my opinion was, and still is, that there are people on here who will criticise the club and other posters on this forum who would not consider turning up to a fans' forum and express their views, even though there are tickets still available. If I put this across a little strongly, again I apologise; however if people have anything to say, I urge them to attend the fans' forum and make their views known.
A united fanbase, on the same page, working as one is the only way to get things heard and impact change.
Agreed, I'm sure that ultimately we all want the same thing - success for our club and our community. Sometimes, we all say things at the spur of the moment that maybe we regret later; I know I have, and I'm sure you have, too, Andy. But to help in making ourselves heard, we should attend events like the fans' forum if we are able, this can only help.
Speaking as a fellow fan, this isn't great, from a rep of a fans advisory board. I genuinely get your frustration mate, but this probably isn't the best way to go about things.
Jesus wept! They've picked another corker here. 'Frustrating sometimes' you say...... Yeah maybe have a think how some of the fan base may feel, you know, the people you are meant to be representing. Another one too far up the arses of the club officials, waste of time.
Why has he? If folk are brave enough to sit in there homes typing away then at least have the ****** to sit in front of someone and slate, moan, criticise etc!!!
I don't think there's an issue with the point he's making, but the language used isn't appropriate for someone in his position. It should have been phrased in a way that invites people to attend and air their grievances rather than belittle then as conspiracy theorists who need to put up or shut the f' up.
