The idea that a cotton shirt can be non-iron is undoubtedly the biggest lie around, and I say that as somebody who assiduously reads every party's UK general election manifesto.

Back on topic. Does anyone know why the game might have been cancelled?

    Made me laugh.

Just done my 5 court shirts for the week, starched collars too. Whilst watching the darts.

There's a place a couple of minutes' walk from me which does shirts at £1.25 apiece. It feels like just too much of a luxury at the moment (for something I can easily do myself), but for the sake of ~£8 a week I've been sorely tempted, because there's nothing I hate more than ironing.

Looking at the leaflet, I actually think they'd wash and iron a whole week's worth of shirts for under twenty quid - obviously the dream!

    I don't iron my pillowcases.

No doubt that will create headlines...

We dont iron. I know it's super-degenerate, but i only ever work in London so by the time i've done 2 hours on the train the creases have fallen out anyway. My daughter wears a polo shirt to school so meh. My son would look like a tramp if he was opening Armani's show at Paris fashion week. So we never bother - life's too short.

This thread is creasing me up , not , strange to give up a Cup game, the only explanation is they couldn’t fulfill the fixture possibly due to lack of players , which is concerning

Me and the wife are same. I'd say 90% of stuff we don't iron, just stuff we wear to work, and we only go to the office once a week so we just let it build up and then spend a couple of hours every couple of months doing it.
