100% this…I’ve had many a conversation with Phil, (hemmsy) not seen him for a while, definitely not a wind up merchant and he’s a smashing lad.

 

Yep and he was pillocked for it. Probably the most genuine poster we might ever have had.

 

I recall a certain poster calling Hemmsy a Oxygen thief many moons back, he just believed In what he wrote, a don’t think he was malicious with any of it tbh

Not sure what Stephen Dawson did to upset those who must be obeyed, but I am very sorry to see him go.
Yes, he was often sexually crude in a Finbar Saunders kind of way, but it was light hearted and meant in humour and he was by no means the only poster of that ilk.
I didn’t know him, but he wore his heart on his sleeve re his relationship issues, work, money and his young child, whom he clearly adored and cared for.
If he did turn to drink at times, so what? Haven’t most of us hit the bottle at times of sorrow and sadness, financial concerns, loneliness?
To see him mocked and pilloried by some posters saddens me and betrays a meanness of spirit he does not deserve.

 

I hope he gets back on, seems a good lad to me. Obviously he has upset the headmaster though, its a football forum not a court of law, cmon admin have a heart n gerim back on.

His account doesn't appear to be showing as banned. I think it's more a case of him receiving a telling off for something he's posted and decided to flounce.

I think its a poor carry on if admin(whoever it is concerned) cant shed some light on this, what’s been the problem, surely you should come out and comment?….that way at least we all know what we can and cannot post in future…..for all his faults SD his a member that probably gets followed a lot to see what his posts contain, funny arfa time btw.

 

I disagree, whatever happened between the admin and SD is their business, its not for the admin to issue public rulings like its the high court, if SD wants to elaborate then thats fine, but if Admin told me off for something I wouldn't appreciate them telling everybody tbh.

I would advise posters to take this guy Acido Tyke with a pinch of salt, he doesn't know how many times the Mods have warned SD
He's a mod himself on Tykes Mad and the posters on there ignore him that's why he posts on here. He banned me off that site for asking him why he had not been to Oakwell in 20 years (only my 2nd post in over 12 months) his reasons were "an absolute Stirer and Trouble Couser" banning a 74-year-old for that. And that's why I don't care for the man.

 

If @Marc or someone else told people who don't know what happened, we'd be able to understand it much better.
