Are folk at each others throats ?. It's more of what people see as ott or not. I can see both sides of the argument. Some comments he makes are definitely crude. And people find em offensive. But other posters have created far more serious offences to me and got off light. I'd be swinging the axe on some threads that get out of hand. I guess some kind of alert to admin for one to pick up on, would be of a benefit. As he doesn't appear to have been banned by others checks. A word in his ear by admin is not unreasonable. If that's what's happened. Come on Stephen get thissen back in the fold. Pretty sure you'll have read the posts.
I get that mate but the damage may escalate b4 one of admin picks it up. Many have said in the past the reaction time can be slow or non existent. And I'm guessing someone in admin has to visit the site afore its picked up on via the report button.(I'm fortunate to have one or 2 numbers. One got so out of hand I made a call.) Gally or other administrators may correct me on that one. ?
Admin have stayed out of this, because we assumed it would just move on. Unfortunately not, and we’ve seen everything from tittle tattle to conspiracy theory. Some people clearly have way too much time on their hands. Anyway, he posted a comment which we felt was unacceptable. A private warning was issued, no different to every other warning. His response was to post the public thread he did, so he’s been given a month off. Absolutely no drama whatsoever. Hopefully he’ll be back in a month, and hopefully he’ll tone things down. Just to be clear though, we have no intention of making announcements, every time someone gets a warning or gets banned. We’ve got better things to do. This is the first and last thing I’ll say on it.
Everybody has a different interpretation of what passes for humour.Personally he doesn’t offend me in the slightest
The term Incel (originally Invcel) was made up by a self-described queer Canadian called Alana. Originally, it was an open community for anyone who was struggling to form a relationship. Over the last 10-15 years thanks to wet wipes like Andrew Tate and Jordan Petersen and terrorists like Elliot Rodger and Alek Minassian it became a term to describe young men who hate women and blame them for all the problems in their lives - often threatening violence and rape against women. Many of them probably need their hard drives checking.
Well done just googled it and your summary is more or less identical to what Wikipedia says. So someone who often uses innuendo on here, often over stepping the mark is now a terrorist?
All I’ll say further on the matter is that he definitely shows incel tendencies and the things he says on here are generally filled with sexism and misogyny god knows what he says in private.. good riddance
He's not the only one who has posted offensive things on here before, but i wouldn't say good riddance to you and called you an incel if you were booted off.
This forum, to its detriment imho, is male dominated. Much more so than the male/female ratio of the fanbase who go to watch the team. I don't think my opinion on this is worthy of anything at all and I don't particularly want to talk about another contributor. However, I would be interested in the opinion of the female contributors we've got on here and ask 'is the nature of the content that Stephen Dawson posted one of the reasons why so few women post on this forum?'
