Saw him at the Piece Hall last year, loved hearing the old Smiths songs live. Then Tim Burgess guest vocal on Getting Away With It. Some may say that he has, all his life!

Their lyrics were so good! Coupled with Marr's guitar was a marriage made in heaven!

Was out on Friday at the Brudenell to see UK Subs. In the other room at the same time, Jah Wobble was playing an early PIL album. Already seen the Chameleons, Stee Ignorant, Snuff, Pixies, Half Man Half Biscuit and Levellers so far this year. Its very much like the eighties at chez Scoff.

Funniest part of the night we walked in and the wife was stood next to the t-shirt stand while I got drinks from the bar. She recognised someone behind the stall and it took her a few seconds to realise it was the 80-year old Charlie Harper who thought she was checking him out. I reckon he went backstage and was telling the band about the hot young 60-something girl that was checking him out ;)

If we had an imaginary Bbs members tribute act to The Smiths, who would like to play or do what ?.
I'm a hopeful piano player (and not a very good one either lol), but Id like to be on the keyboards please.
Now then, who is on drums, and on guitars, and the backing singers... and who has the cojones to be Morrissey the lead singer.
I will let you all choose your places lol, this should be interesting. :D

Maybe we should ask for a saddo who roars his eyes out every time ehh.
And who always hides at the back, and gets thrown out and beaten up by the bouncers. For being the trouble causing Dawson's sad little lap dog, that he is.

Anyway, here we go with one of the best ever intros to a song. Forty years ago ehh, a big song in '84. :)

As I have no musical ability or stage presence I would have to be Morrissey's hearing aid. Mrs. Matzerath says that I never listen so maybe not.

Hey I always thought this song of theirs, which is one of my favourites from the 80's btw, was done in '84.
But surprisingly, it looks like it was actually done 'roughly' near the summer of '83. It sounds a bit different and a bit more basic doesn't it!.
