Horrible goalkeeping for second goal , from loan player,Horrible defending from another loan player for equaliser by Craig. Can we please develop our own players please
Cancel both loans, why we helping other teams out with these players who are not good enough yet. Got young keeper smith and yonganathan who are our players and are arguably better and yet we are holding them back.
His ability to command the box is woeful. Very good stopper and that’s it. Can’t catch or do owt else.
Why on earth are we playing this keeper? This kid we have on loan at Grimsby is at least ours, and surely he can't be worse. Can only assume we are contracted to play him every game, which is absolutely ridiculous if so.
He needs sending back or dropping. Cost us numerous times already. Can kick a ball or distribute. Cant command his box. He is poor. Sure the lad at Grimsby would be a better option.
We had another keeper lined up alongside Jackson Smith. Not sure what happened but it was a lad from Brighton who was also a permanent deal. We’ve ended up with a keeper who’s gonna good reputation but looks desperate with the signing being shown to be very last minute. Killip was not supposed to be here in the summer and now he’s our second choice…if we stick him on the bench.
I'd drive him back to Chelsea tonight and don't even have a driving license. Sick of him being at fault for most goals and his flapping when he can catch it. We won't get promoted with him in the goal. Get Killip in for the weekend and don't worry what Chelsea think.
He's been good last few games, certainly won us the game against Blackpool with his double save against Rhodes. Was okay today until that howler. I'm a big advocate of Slonina, but that is absolutely inexcusable. Gave the shout to Roberts so he ducked and he just literally fumbled it completely. Really poor and seriously needs to cut these big errors out, and quickly. As for Craig, looked brilliant when he first arrived, but today's performance was terrible. I know the first goal we conceded we were down to 10 men due to Connell injury, but we completely lost control of that midfield when Connell did come off, even when we went back up to 11. Connell is such an important player. To be fair, had we not conceded the second, I personally don't think we'd have scored our second either. Dunn should have had another from his free header (which is as bad a mistake as Slonina's really), Russell had one cleared off line and was unlucky when hitting the bar. Think we deserved the win up until Connell went off to be fair, then they had chances. At some points, Okeefe was marking 3 players down our right, which is a huge issue, also needs addressing. Buzzing for Watters though, I genuinely felt we missed him when he got injured because pre-injury he was good for us. Has some speed too when he puts the back burners on. Fair play to the lads for coming back and equalising, took some real effort after that late blunder. We've got a knack for it at the minute. The makings of a good team are certainly here. Just need more consistency & less mistakes, which I truly think will happen.
Loans to Barnsley have the potential to ruin some promising careers. I think several Premier League teams will be questioning if they want to trust us with their young expensive talents.
Are the subs purely tactical or because some of our starting XI are leggy and can’t do the full ninety minutes? If a game plan is working, perhaps we should just leave it be.
Me too, mate. A lot don't show much here. But it's another reason we shouldn't be so quick to write off our own youngsters!
That’s half the reason we’re so bad defensively. Who can have any confidence in a keeper with zero presence behind them?
