What is this over hyped nonsense? Not just BFC but all over social media, even on match commentary. We’re supposed to get all emotional and dewy eyed about playing a night match with floodlights on. Well for me “under the lights” invariably evokes feelings of Cold, damp, trudging back to the car late at night, getting home late. Sod all to get all romantic and poetic about.
Every game is under the lights. Shirley? Whether they're turned on or not. Plenty of games are about to start without lights on, and finish with them shining. You're right. I'm not a fan.
I like the walk up to Oakwell with the floodlights on and the anticipation. Prefer an afternoon match though.
