Remember in the very early close season when they signed everything in sight and some of our fans were losing their heads on Twitter stating Rotherham would walk the league and “why didn’t we sign ….”

Yep - it was mental some of the comments on here, praising their board too. They also never mentioned the reason why they were doing it was because they lost 17/18 players end of the season - can guarantee some on here would be fuming had it been our board needing to replace almost 2 full teams worth of players in one window!

They might yet come good, but I suspect they'll be having another look in the Jan window

You always think though in this League, that they/Rotherham are just a win or two away, from challenging for the Play offs again.
But I know a lot of their fans aren't exactly impressed so far this season, with the fat man Evans!.

Their recruitment right at the start was fantastic. Then as their signings went on, they bagged average League 1 players. They’ll be up there though.

With the squad they have they should be doing better but we are in no position at all to pass judgment on other clubs transfer business.

If you think this forum is toxic after a loss/draw,have a look on Rotherham’s. They can put us to shame

I wasn’t saying they’d go up automatically but I do think they’ll be in the play off mix.

I do wish we would have signed Humphrey’s & DKD a month earlier. Humphrey’s is only just looking fit enough to start in the last couple of games. Having him a month earlier would have made a huge difference.

Same every season though isn't it with some players coming in too late and that's down to those off the pitch. Ultimately it impacts our start to the season.

Some folk on here have, when others use Rotherham as a club/tool to beat ours with.

I wasn’t passing judgement on their transfer business. I was passing judgement on the hissy-fitters who seemingly wanted to drag down our club in May/ June, before a ball had been kicked because another club had signed umpteen players.

Hissy fitting or genuine concern/alarm that we had lost key personnel in key positions and seemed to be struggling to recruit? I would say looking at the signings we made their concerns were fair. Rotherham will be up there I'd imagine at the end of the season.

They signed Sean Raggett as a star signing after playing his part in 38 Portsmouth games helping them last season to automatic promotion. So far for Rotherham he's managed two games.

And I say we will finish higher than Rotherham

I'd say it was hissy fitting in May/ June with the season barely over.
It was a social media pile on based on the activities of another club at a point where we hadn't done our business. Impatience. We made signings and retained important players. It remains to be seen whether Rotherham will recover - they may still storm the league, who knows? Doesn't detract from the point that all the hysteria about not signing players in May/ June, just because Rotherham signed some, was simply ridiculous.
