Personally feel like we’re quite lucky to have a board that are willing to invest into the club and keep us competitive despite for the most part having no local affiliation and receiving abuse for everything they do/don’t do. The post Conway recovery could have been a lot more painful without their investment.

It's not much different, the club is running at significant losses, poor decisions being made off the pitch every transfer window and now they're playing the sympathy card. They need to start doing a lot better off the pitch because this ain't sustainable. We have a bloated unbalanced squad and chose to spend 750k on DKD despite being in financial trouble.

Not sure I like this, but will reserve judgement until I've seen.

I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing that £17m is an accurate figure.

What concerns me is not the fact they pump £8m a year in (thanks) but more why so? They've been here a while now. Are they learning or making same mistakes?

No we don't sell £8m every year. But we might have sold £8m every 4 years, based on our operating model.

Is it unrealistic to state that (approx) £222,222, based on three year monthly installments, is a decent monthly springboard? I'm not stating it is an amount to pay off our debts for ever more.

Anyways, will have a listen tomorrow?

Thanks for that Gally. They posted the call-in instructions a bit late, so I missed the meeting. However, that little clip is certainly illuminating.

Penny wise, pound foolish. With knobs on.

To spend double your income and have the squad that we’ve got can’t be called anything other than stupid.

But the question that always springs to mind is ‘why’?. Why continue to support this apparently failing business?

He was very clear in saying he wasnt looking for sympathy. He was trying to be transparent. He was trying to explain the usual questions of where has the transfer money from x player gone. He was trying to explain why the fan experience might not be the best it could be (as money is going to be spent on the pitch with the hope that the capex project will help improve the match day experience. He was trying to explain some of the tough decisions
    - cost increases and cost cutting. To that end I think he did a very good job of explaining the financial landscape and priorities.

We arent in financial trouble whilever the owners are putting 8m a season in to balance the books. If they decided not to (as some have suggested online this week) then we would be.

I think Neerav answered that tonight. Its the same reason that you still keep supporting. Hes been supporting us 8 years now. Travelling 5000 miles every 4-6 weeks to watch us.

Unfortunately (or I believe fortunately), my only social media is this and LinkedIn (and I losing patience with the latter).

Yet I struggle to justify travelling from Dodworth! If he is genuinely supporting the club for the same reasons as people like me, then that’s lovely. I’m just pleased I’m not his bank manager.

No, they actually enjoy putting their own money into a big sack and throwing it down a bottomless pit.

What the hell sort of a question is that?

We've known we've been in trouble for ages now. Imagine the uproar had we not ended up signing DKD and said because we don't have the finances. The meltdowns would have been historic amongst our fanbase mate

Well done to those involved in the broadcast of this event. I know only too well the amount of effort that goes into it and that was very well done and deserves a mention. Superb.

And now I don’t work there, I can publicly point out that barely any other club puts on these sort of events, free of charge, and streamed live to those who can’t attend. And as regular as BFC do. Again - superb, and well done.

As for the topics that were discussed, I can only hope - like everyone else - that those running the club can get its financial house in order and get back to providing positive experiences on and off the pitch.
