What's the point in a ban on broadcasting Saturday 3pm matches if it just leads to re-arranged times that suit hardly anybody? If the FA/EFL are going to persist with the broadcast ban they need to accompany it with a ban on moving match times to circumvent it. Or lift the whole thing and let the market decide. As Jon Flatman stated at the fans forum, Sky need full grounds for atmosphere.
Has there been any reasoning given behind the KO time, is it Sly Sports who've pushed this through or Policing?
Sky. They are covering a Championship game kicking off at 8, their "reasoning" is that viewers can flit between both matches...!
It was originally going to be on Monday 11th November, kick off 8PM, live on Sky. The reasoning behind the move to Friday was to avoid a postponement due to potential international call ups.
I’ve only 49 miles to drive from east of York so I’d best be on my way straight after lunch to avoid the gridlock on the A1 and then M1 roadworks near Leeds. Oh and there’s the usual million people going home traffic. Easy - should get there by at least 6pm. Then there’s the nausea of crawling back through roadworks/whole section closures etc after the game. Or I could waste another ST paid match and watch it on Sky. I really don’t know why I renewed this season. As Roger Daltrey once said “I won’t get fooled again….”
