Ffs. It was great watching them falter from one bad result to the next. Should have gone months ago really. Our result actually made them keep him on a bit longer again too.
Lot of issues at that club and fact that he actually won trophies there should be seen as an achievement. Particularly the FA cup last year. He also performed above expectations in his first season. However, league form has been awful and it's always the manager who's gonna take the fall. Interesting to see who they get in.
Winning the FA Cup is not enough these days for the bigger clubs, winning nothing but coming in the top four to qualify for the Champions League is all that matters in modern football.
Coventry were robbed, they shouldn't have been in the final at all. Got lucky that City were having an off day when it came to the final too!
Why were Coventry robbed? I admit man u were crap that game, but if you beat Liverpool and City to win the cup then you've done Ok I reckon.
Because their 4th goal that would have won the game was disallowed, it wasn't offside. And remember Manure were 3 goals to the good in that game and Cov should have been dead and buried.
Oh from what I remember it was offside and they drew the lines and wot not. It was marginal and personally I think if you have to draw lines then you should just go with on field decision - but that's another debate. And yeah should never have let Coventry get back into it, but they were excellent in the final to be fair to em. Anyways, was just trying to highlight the fact that although he's done awful in the league and prob needed sacking, his cup success should still be commended.
Said it another thread the clubs still living in the past one look round Old Trafford and it's like a shrine to Fergie. The club had years of under achieving then the genius that was Fergie now gone back to what they are good at. He's been retired 11yrs but hangs over the club like a big black cloud ironically the man that took to where they wanted to be is a now part of the problem.
