Not really fussed about this award as it just comes across as a Real Madrid love in, but fair play to Rodri done it at club and country level, but utterly disgusting behaviour from Real Madrid crying like spoilt brats refusing to turn up despite winning club award and Anchelotti winning the manager award.

Vinicius has now lost any of my admiration. Brilliant young player but how entitled he's acted over not winning it is appalling.

Have some dignity that a player who achieved for his club and nation pipped you to it and you might need to do more next year.

Heard we were taking a delegation there until we got wind that Marc Roberts wasn't winning it.

Absolute toys out of the pram.

Uefa's darlings, they expect to win everything - they shouldn't have won half of their recent Champions Leagues!

Imagine a Prem team doing that, they'd be banned from Europe for 5 years

Yeah - I think the 3 they won under Zidane, 2 of them would have been stripped had VAR been introduced back then. Can't remember why or at what point but I remember reading an article.

It's really set the scene for the Future. Imagine him winning it next year and no-one turning up from any club! Even if he does win it people will say its to appease this years decision. They claim this trophy shows no respect so they now shouldn't be bothered to attend next year if that's their real belief, however I can assure you the entourage of 50 RM officials will be on a plane quicker than a carpenter fitting a door if he wins next year. How can they show disrespect to make a point of disrespect !!!

It’s hard to evaluate Vinicius as I only probably watch him a handful of times a season but Rodri was exceptional for club & country & he continues to be the only player City seem to miss when he’s unavailable.

Last season De Bruyne & Haaland both missed a couple of months each & they were fine. Rodri serves a 3 game ban & they didn’t win any of them.

It’s good to see a player in an unglamorous position get the credit he deserves & it’ll be interesting to see how they cope without him.

Why is there such an outcry from Vini & Real Madrid? He only played 26 of their 38 league games last season. That’s nearly a third of the season he’s missed.

15 goals in the league & 6 in the champions league is decent but comparing him against one of the best wide forwards of the last decade in Mo Salah & his stats hardly scream best in the world.

In fact it would be regarded as a bad season for Salah.

Rodri is the only player in the world that if you choose a best 11 there is absolutely no argument about picking him in his position. Every other position there are various players you could pick.

A deserved winner. Back in your box Real.

I’d let them know not to bother turning up next year either as anyone connected with Real Madrid will not be considered for the awards in the future.
