We finally got the memo on the lit pumpkin so hoping for plenty of kids! We’ve bought a stack of stuff this year but only had two knocks so far.
We missed last years as we were all out so made some little sweety bags and hung them on a board we made……she’s done the same this year but with some spooky party bags…….we just need some kids now
We’ve had more luck since relighting the candle. Can see kids pointing out the pumpkins and only knocking on those doors. No wonder no one knocked last year!
I saw one house earlier with some pumpkins at the bottom of there stairs then on the bottom step were 2 great plant pots to deter them miserable sods!
Last time I looked, I wasn’t American so won’t be partaking in it. I do as little as possible to encourage balaclava clad teens demanding treats. I think that makes me a miserable sod.
We've not got any decorations or owt, but we have left a pot full of bags of sweets outside the door (with the light on) for them to help themselves. Don't want them knocking as the dog goes mad when someone's at the door, can't be dealing with that all night. Heard quite a few digging in.
We’ve had no teens, just groups of little uns in their Halloween costumes going around with their parents, I think it’s brilliant to see,
It was chucking it down last year so we didn't have many, had a fair number today. First little ******* tried grabbing a fistful so I've resorted to dishing them out rather than letting them grab their own.
Send them round here! Reckon we’ve had 8 knocks (although the first was a group of 8 and we’ve had some threes).
We've had a good 30 callers, its gone quiet nar, had some real good costumes, great turn out and reight enjoyed the evening, probably lost a parnd or two answering the door up an darn like a yoyo.
Kids seemed to have stopped but now we’ve got loads of students walking up and down the street in costumes heading off on their nights out. I might go out and start offering them sweets
A house in Huddersfield Road, there garden looks absolutely fantastic for the kids…..whilst it’s not everyone’s cup of tea kids enjoy it
