    I can remember reps coming to my local talking about how great their schemes were compared to the mps.Luckily a few of us didn’t fall for it & stayed put.Now the pit pension coupled with the old age pension is like having a very good living wage.

    It's states on the MPS and government websites that it is an increase of 32% from November 29th paid as a bonus pension so 32 quid more on every 100 pounds of pension is how I read it

    Not early enough for my mate Gary. He died in 2012. Got a few mates from Haribo that will benefit from it though. Lots of ex miners in Pontefract. On the subject of pensions. I got a letter from the NHS asking me to change my pension to a new super dooper all singing, all dancing one and just ignored it.
