Gainsborough home or away would be nice. Even better - Doncaster to show them what happens when we take a game seriously.
Any of these away: Charlton Athletic Dagenham & Redbridge Wealdstone Bromley Could add to that, playing today are Sutton United or best of the lot, close by, AFC Wimbledon.
Gainsborough for me. I doubt I’d get an away ticket as although I’m a season ticket holder there’s plenty who do more away games than me but an away tie there would probably get us on tele.
As bad as the first round in that if we put every team in the draw in order of preference, they would have been near the bottom.
Jesus Christ that is an abominable draw. Although they're the only team we've managed to beat at home this season in the league so I suppose on that sole basis, it could've been worse.
Big week that.... Bristol Rovers at home with a chance to join the big boys in the third round. Following Tuesday away at Wrexham. Birmingham at home on the Saturday. Those three games in a week will show us where we are at.
I remember the 4-1 drubbing we gave them 13 Feb 99. There were over 17,000 in the ground and Rovers came full of confidence with a big following. Jason Roberts and Jamie Cureton were their in form strikers but we could top trump them on that score - Craig Hignett (3) and Bruce Dyer blew then away. It was a really enjoyable cup tie with the right result. Same again please!
At least that was away against a team not in our league. Not many teams could’ve made this less boring I don’t think.
