Just seen that, but Trumps body language tells a different story. Reminds me very much of his first presser after he lost the last one.

It'll be interesting viewing, whatever happens we'll be seeing more fireworks in America than over here.

To be fair it can't be denied the world was a lot safer when Trump was last in power. A lot has happened on the watch of Biden and his party.

Social media has been amusing over the past fortnight or so, particularly the last 48 hours.

The amount of posts in the vein of "I'm no Trump Supporter but" is astounding.

I genuinely can't work people out sometimes.

Not sure thats the reason though. You could argue Trump and NATO failing to act following the annexation of Crimea has led to the global insecurity we see now.

Oh do **** off. The world is a lot less safe now as a direct result of Trump's presidency. He stoked tensions all over the world then got kicked to the curb before the **** really hit the fan.

The shy voting phenomenon has certainly become more prevalent in the last decade or so. I think thats what is most frustrating. If you want to vote for a racist rapist... fine, but at least own it and say why. We've seen it aplenty in this country with Brexit/UKIP/Reform. Even to the ridiculous degree of people saying they aren't interested in politics yet seemingly having an adoration for the populist right.

And Trump overturning seven decades of American policy by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel rather than Tel Aviv.

    Sowing the seeds for....

Pacifying Russia, agitating China, antagonising a number of Middle Eastern countries and emboldening Israel to move further away from a two state solution. All have pushed us down a path to where we are.

Then you consider the environmental aspect of the Earth, ripping up the Paris Accord certainly didn't help make us safer.

After Crimea nobody seemed to care. Russia still had a World Cup despite what they did.

Coincidence rather than causality I'd guess.

It's disgusting! Apparently they're boarding up shop fronts and erected extra fencing around the White House. All this over the elections fgs!

I agree with you that Trump has no credit to claim, but the annexation of Crimea was in 2014 on Obama's watch, however Merkel gave the US ( and other NATO voices) no support as they didn't want to risk their supply of cheap Russian gas.

Like the current betting odds, which have Trump as an 11/18 favourite, I'm expecting Trump to be the next US President.
