    Besides me
Didn't Even know the Champions league format has changed.
And a new Competition involving PL 2 clubs and non league clubs called the National league cup has been created. ?
I'm losing more interest in football outside of tarn than ever.

Not sure about the national league cup but I’m really enjoying the new champions league format.

Far more interesting group stage games & some of the big boys are having a bit of a wobble.

Noticed the NLC a few weeks ago . Snuck in under the radar . Sneaky barstewards .
Another step closer to having Premier B sides in the football pyramid .

I was aware of CL revamp. Never heard of the National League Cup though. Well, I have now, obviously, but not until your post.

I'm with Hooky, I've lost all interest in the Premier league and now the Champions league. Flicked Man Utd game on the other day and didn't kno half the players. Only connecting to football now through BFC. Can't ever see me going back to watching football like I did in the good old days but obviously the coverage now for those that do is awesome.

Unsurprisingly not all non league clubs are in favour of this new cup format.
Some including Eastleigh and Fylde have refused to enter, see link.

They will soon put an end to that nonsense if the big boys feel it threatens their position of power. One step nearer a European super league if it gets too competitive we have what we hold like our Premier league I'm afraid.

Wish they would fekk off tomorrow if it wasn't for the fans who don't like the idea. It's like a cloud hanging over the entire set up, of premier league and below.

I only discovered this NLC competition last night when looking at the latest scores on the BBC website. It’s all just getting stupid now.

As regards the PL teams being mostly unrecognisable I doubt I could name more than a handful of players in any squad. Sometimes no more than one or two.

CL is decent as everyone has to play a stronger team for longer, because there is so much to play for. Much better than win your first four games and play a weakened team for the last two.

NLC is a joke though and I am glad some clubs decided against entering. Those that did will likely lose money from having to put floodlights on for a game so few will bother to come to.

Todays modern floodlighting Is much cheaper to run than you probably think. I guess less than £50 for a national league side with minimal requirements.
50w low energy is equal to 300w halogen say.
Even if you use 100 (most lower tier non league clubs would use 12 max.)
    50w x 100 = 5 kWh
For 3 hrs 15kw. Less than a fiver.

Man utd would be another kettle of fish. For all stadium lighting etc. But probably far less than you might imagine.

Have to say, I've more interest in the lower two divisions and non league.
Championship is heading towards Premier 2 methinks.
