Not a wind up. Look at how he dealt with the little rocket man from North Korea. Squashed the worlds fears around nuclear war in an instant.
I read an article this morning via BBC news. Their reporter summarized that Trump achieved the win on the back of economic growth and immigration (those were the two main factors). Suggesting the states had a better economy under trump (pre covid) than the Biden administration which went through covid!! I dunno maybe the great expanse of voters believes that all their pet are been eaten by immigrants. All the Americans i spoke to on my hols this year thought he was all for himself and embarrassing.

For some strange reason Yorkshire Rose Holidays in the market seem pleased about the Trump win… unless they’re hoping folk will start taking bus trips to Margate now instead of America
I've seen lots of complaints about the cost of gas there. Which is cheaper now than in 2020. Unemployment is lower now. The stock market is higher. GDP is higher. The average wage has increased by $6500 since 2020 - at a rate above prices have risen. By just above every economic measure, the USA is doing better now than it was 4 years ago. And the majority of people have voted to pay more tax and let billionaires pay less.
Yea...spot on. So it really must be all about having their pets eaten! Seriously though their economy has been good for a few years and has a good influence on ours. I really really don't get this cartoon man getting in...I just reckon they believe everything he says. I do think he's a highly entertaining and the comedian / impressionists will have a field day.
2020 was the worst year since the 1940s, so I would expect things to be better now than when everything was shut around the world.
I know a couple of people living across the pond. Both went out and voted for Trump, historically they voted Obama so not staunch republicans. Cost of living has gone absolutely crazy over there, his mortgage payment during the Biden term has gone from $750 per month to almost $1800. It's not surprising they wanted change. What I find odd is the same people in this country who said the Tories were to blame for the cost of living increase, and pretty much discount Covid and the Ukraine conflict as the main factors don't apply the same logic to Bidens administration.
Personally I would tell Trump to eff off and suffer the consequences. However, I'm sure that the majority of people wouldn't like those consequences and would blame OUR government not Trump. Just out of interest in the Spirit of debate and all that, how would you deal with a Trump presidency if you were the PM?
