That would require another vote. I wouldn't worry too much about Starmer and Trump not being friends, I'm sure they'll get along just fine.

Doesn't look like I'll be too popular on this board but I am a dual citizen and I voted for Trump:

    Reasons:
    1. The border desperately needs sorting, illegal (keyword) immigration is out of control. Venezuela actually emptied a lot of their prisons and a lot of them have come through Mexico into US unvetted. One consequence of this includes these gangs taking over apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado and San Antonio in Texas. This is terrifying stuff. When I came as an immigrant here I was background checked like crazy and had to take fingerprints every time I entered the country.

    2. Like him or not, Trump is a strong leader and I think is needed especially during this time. There were no wars during Trump's tenure and the Democrats have become the "war party," we need to be working to end these wars not wasting innocent people's lives and money like it doesn't matter.

    3. Democrats want to censor things in the media, limit free speech. Similar to Starmer where if you say the wrong thing you could end up in jail. Bad precedent.

    4. Democrats want to push trans ideology in schools and basically ban parents from being able to have a say on if kids (under 18) can have sex changes if they want. I disagree with this heavily and nobody should be allowed to have a sex change prior to the age of 18. If you are an adult feel free to make your own choices.

    5. Genuinely seems to care about America, can negotiate with world leaders as proven with "Rocket Man"

    6. Kamala has flip-flopped on all of her beliefs to gain votes, it is a facade which a lot of people have seen through. If there was a better Democratic candidate (who was actually Democratically elected I may add) I think Democrats would probably have won this election.

My main thing I disagree with on the Trump side is the issue of abortion, I think women should have this right within a certain time frame 100%. However there is more nuance to this point, Trump has not "banned abortion" yet left it up to the states. States rights has always been an important topic over here so this is crossing boundaries a bit, for example in the bible belt states abortion will likely be banned and stay banned which I disagree with. This makes electing the right congress people even more important than the president in this respect.

Also when people call Trump a "Nazi," "Dictator," "Fascist" I find that absolutely ridiculous and a bad attempt by the more left leaning media to fear monger. It's also a slap in the face I can imagine to the people that lived through that time.

Also to add, I consider myself very much moderate and would be willing to vote for either side but in my view Trump is much the lesser of two evils in this election.

I've explained my reasons many times for not wanting to be part of the European Union. Not going to go into them yet again. As for the God bit yeah just a figure of speech I agree.

“Certainly, Trump is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators - he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.”

John Kelly, Chief of Staff to Donald Trump - hardly a member of the left-leaning media. And as Kelly is a former US Marine Corps General, I doubt he would use the word ‘fascist’ in a way that would be construed as a slap in the face to those who fought previous incarnations of fascism.

No disrespect intended. If you think Trump is the lesser of an evil, and given some of the lazy baseless tropes you've listed in your reasoning, you can't possibly be close to the realm of moderate. I will at least commend you on owning your decision and not trying to pretend you didn't vote that way.

    Not according to most data. In 2020 the gost of a gallon of gas in the US was $2.17, 2021 = $3.01, 2022 = $3.95, 2023 = $3.52.

Edit = November 2024 gas per gallon is $3.10.

As for income. In 2019 in the US, average median household income was $81,210 in 2023 this was $80,610

Data taken from statista and I believe their main source is the US Census Bureau.

You decided being a rapist wasn't a deal breaker.

That says a hell of a lot about you.

100% rejoin the EU. Given the America first stance of Trump and his litany of comments about tariffs, we need a reliable market to import from and export to. One that has high standards that we are closely aligned with and isn't far.

Rejoining the EU would give us the growth we're crying out for too given our GDP has been so negatively impacted by the crazy decision. I'm not sure how long is required before the obvious is accepted. That we've gained nothing and lost a great deal.

And the argument that Europe is drifting to the right and therefore reason not to join... all the while when America is drifting towards fascist right with risks from China, Russia, Iran and N Korea. Well... I think that completely blows a hole in that.

He isn't a convicted rapist though is he, and if you think the people that are in the Democratic party are any better then you are sadly mistaken. All been to Epstein island many times including Bill Clinton and Obama. I don't like a lot on both sides but like I said unfortunately this is the world we live in and lesser of 2 evils

Seeing as you keep saying this, please can you explain to King Benny - who has offered a clear set of rationales as to why he has voted the way that he has - where, and in what court, you think that Trump has been convicted of rape.

School nurses can't give out tylenol without parental permission. How the actual ever living **** do you think they are doing sex changes at school? And where is the budget for these operations? (at $100,000+ each).

    I've read the article - "
Trump’s campaign denied the exchange. “This is absolutely false. President Trump never said this,” campaign adviser Alex Pfeiffer said.

But Democrats quickly seized on the comments. Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, said Tuesday night at a rally in Wisconsin that the reported comments about Hitler’s generals “makes me sick as hell.”"

Sounds like political warfare to me

Trump was adjudged to have raped E Jean Carroll during his defamation case against her. In the USA, digital penetration counts as rape.

He has not been convicted for it, but he is adjudge a rapist in law.

If that's not enough with it being a civil case not a criminal case, here's a video of him boasting about assaulting women:
