Feels a bit of a knee jerk reaction given how well he's done over the last few seasons https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8el50wprr5o
Don't think he will have much problem dropping into another job. Surprised they have pulled the trigger though.
Ridiculous sacking, the table is so condensed 2 wins puts you in the playoffs, probably had some one waiting in the wings a while back but then he got results, utterly Bizzare
He's been there a long time and achieved a lot, but sometimes a change is good to stop things getting stale.
https://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/official-mark-robins-has-been-sacked.163985/ That shows how mad it is
The manager that turned Gyokeres into a £20+m player with Coventry probably ending up getting £30m out of him , it’s bonkers but Cryne sacking him was bonkers as well
I’d tend to agree if things were actually looking “stale” within a 18 month to 2 year period. But…..they made a playoff final only 18m ago plus a FA Cup semi final last season where they were only seconds away from making the final. It’s pure madness from them. Top manager. He stabilised us in the Championship too and hasn’t really failed anywhere.
Didn’t Robins basically tell Cryne that he wanted to take us to the next level and certain funding should be made available to do so. Cryne said no so Robins walked hence the gardening leave.
