Absolutely thrilled with the performance tonight. Not followed the thread but to a man, every single of them was excellent. Gent, awesome Connell, back to himself Roberts, mountain De gevigney, excellent Russell, getting better and better Sky gave MOM to Phillips, whilst didn't do anything wrong I'm not sure he was mine. To me, Gent was absolutely flawless tonight. Excellent performance and excellent result. I think we may finally have DC has got us going. Long may it continue Very happy red tonight
Well done reds. Looks like Clarke has figured it out. Shame Connell is now suspended, the daft apeth.
Great win from a very professional performance. Back three and midfield three were very good as well as GG at LWB with big praise to the Head Coach who seems to be learning from his mistakes. Added bonus of a clean sheet even though it busted my bet
Excellwnt performance. 4 or 5 nil would not hsve flattered us. All great to a man. Thought gent was ace
Good result, clean sheet, home win finally, two well taken goals, solid defensive display, players actually developing & adapting to a system that finally seems to work.
That was like watching a proper Barnsley team for the first time in... I don't know, as long as I can remember. Really good performances throughout the team. We're a league 1 side, they make mistakes, but whenever they did they busted a gut to win the ball back. And there was a fair bit of quality in there too. You could highlight any player and talk about some of the great things they did tonight. I'm going to pick out two: Killip - pretty much ignored during his time here and written off by almost everyone, including me. He might not have had a great deal to do, but everything he did was bob on. There isn't a keeper out there that could have done better than he did tonight. Roberts - Colossus. He did have plenty to do and he was majestic. He won absolutely everything. Everything. He's got better and better this season and he owns that 18 yard box.
Glad we hung on and didn’t concede, I think a lot of shutting out for a full game comes down to mentality in the final 15 minutes, when late goals keep creeping it kind of becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction!
I totally agree Scuba, it's great to see things clicking and confidence building, I'm chuffed for Clarke that things are coming together.
Best game Earl has had in ages. Defence all great tbh. Brilliant finish by Humphrys, good all around.
