Firstly, if you live in the Kingstone area have you had someone call today offering to clean gutters? Secondly, is anyone same area missing a set of ladders?
Bloke this afternoon came to my in-laws, did some ‘gutter work’ and has left a set of ladders he said he will pick up tomorrow. Just walked onto the street with said ladders with no vehicle in sight. We have footage so will wait to see if he turns up and probably report to police. In-laws gave him £30. Hate barstewards that target elderly!!

I should report to police. I'm sure I've read about this in the past, scrotes using the 'gutters cleaning' excuse to look through the windows for anything worth stealing, leave the ladder so they've an excuse to go back and rob the house.

He'll turn up and try to get them to pay for the missing ladder.

£30 for cleaning the gutters is the going rate surely? Who did the ladders belong to?

My heart skipped a beat this morning as the ladders weren’t there and they were back in the garden behind a locked gate. My dad in law apparently decided to put them back in the garden last night SO THEY WOULD NOT BE PINCHED. When I explained that I didn’t want the ladders hanging about and moved them back to where they were, I think the penny finally dropped.
I have reported it to the police, been given an SYP incident number, they asked for me to get the footage and send it them, and they checked locally with no signs of similar MO or anybody reporting missing ladders. Anyway if he doesn’t come for them they are out for the scrap man.

There was a big storyline on a Barnsley crime forum or community page a few months back. Loads of folk Named the 2 offenders and their activities. (photos as proof) One got locked up. Maybe he's back out. Re offending isn't his or their biggest concern, Notorious for ripping oap's off. And do occasionally do it alone apparently.

Update - Ring door bell footage sent to SYP and cheeky bugger tried the door handle making it look accidental. He also gave a first name and mobile number to another neighbour which has also been sent to SYP.
Stopping myself from ringing the number as I may growl at him!!

Like a flaming episode of Crime watch. He has just been back and was trying to tap up another neighbour. I told him to take his ladders and leave and that he was reported to police. Claiming to be a roofer. Yeah, okay, so every roofer leaves their ladders behind and does not have a vehicle.
When I say I told him to take his ladders and leave I do not mean that I told him to shove them up his a***. Honest.
