Someone says something nasty about someone the people getting angry didn't actually know and those people who got angry want that man they don't know sacked from a job that doesn't impact them because of something he said about a man they didn't know.

Mental.

 

The thing I can't understand is why it was posted all over social media. It's just words on a phone that you'd need to be close to to read. He wasn't with the United fans was he? Wednesday fans putting that up is like spraying your own 5hit over yourself. Nuts.

 

He'll get the same sentence as whatever them two tools got with the Bradley Lowery picture earlier in the year.

Just bizarre behaviour - what makes people think to do such a thing.

 

Just read this thread saw it on the news last neight, unfoookinbelievable how people think summat sick can be funny, Not a fan of dickheads never have been.

 

Blows my mind how many people on this thread think it’s acceptable.

 

I don't think anyone in this thread is saying that. Just that the bloke probably doesn't deserve to have his life ruined over it.

 

He clearly thought it was funny and should realise it will attract plenty of flack with social media these days. Do these idiots never stop and think what they are doing?

The reaction and witch hunt is just as unacceptable as the original act imho.

 

The blokes made a really bad decision obviously done it to make himself look big in front of his mates and it's back fired big style.What he did is in bad taste he's made himself look stupid and I'm sure people who know him will see him in different light but I agree the court of social media is no better than what he's done.

There’s so much going off in the world that’s mind-blowingly evil, brutal and worth condemnation. Whilst this individual’s actions are crass, the reaction and fallout seems staggering. Such a bizarre world we live in.

 

I don't understand why the lad has done what he's done. I don't understand why people want to ruin his life over it either.

It's pretty twisted to get satisfaction or amusement from someone's death and I wouldn't associate myself in anyway with someone like that.

We do however seem to be becoming more factionalised and operate in ways where we retaliate when wronged.

Has he done wrong? Yes. Is it illegal? Not sure. Is he an idiot? Yes. Do I rank it high in a list of things that we should confront and eradicate from this world? Sadly, not even close.

Some people on here seem to be playing it down cos there are worse things happening around us. We all know that.
But to vilify him is not unjustified. He was being an absolute ***** by being utterly distasteful to any right thinking human being. I dont know if he'll get sacked or not. And tbh I dont really care. He has probably brought shame to his families door.
How many of us would not give him the biggest dressing down minimum if we employed him. Especially if a big organisation that will be horrified that one of their employees has brought the company values into question. They will not tolerate such stupid behaviour. As it may cost em trade. They at least need to address the issue. Like Send him on a stupidity awareness course. (Create one) And let customers know.

 

I don't agree with what he's done. But then I didn't agree with hundreds if not thousands of folk chanting "Your dad's a nonce and so are you" and "Town full of paedos" last Friday either. Or the anti-Catholic chanting most matches.

I guess one is passed off as 'bantz' and accepted because it's done by large numbers of mostly unidentifiable folk and the other is one guy who can be identified easily.

That and the fact I'm a snowflake.

I wouldn’t protect a knobhead just because he’s a Barnsley fan… If someone’s being a knobhead they deserve to be called out for it

 

Very, very fair point well made.

 

Further to this, I also don’t believe his girlfriend or parents need to be brought into it. Some of the responses have been equally as vulgar as the original act.
