Now, I’m not ignorant to the existence of far right, lunatic white supremacy types. And I’d read/seen something about boycotting Boots this Christmas due to their Christmas advert. I hadn’t bothered watching the ad to see what was bothering them. Until now, just seen it. And for the life of me I can’t see what the fuss is about - even trying to see it from their point of view. Ok so they cast Adjoa Andoh as Mrs Claus. An established and famous actress. Ok, she’s black. Well, mixed race actually. (She happens to be married to a white guy in real life. With a white (ish) beard too.) Is that really the issue? Or the presence of some drag queens and trans people as elves? I don’t consider myself to be thick but I’m struggling to see what people are complaining about. I’m sure I won’t agree with whatever it is - but could someone throw some light on what is causing the ire please? (I’ll buy some shares in Superdrug whilst I wait given their sales are bound to spike exponentially…)
Never buy much from Boots, but I'll now be going out of my way to give them some business, just to annoy the gammons. Hopefully a few of them might actually explode.
What should really be said is some morons have taken offence to the fact a black actress has been cast as Mrs Claus and will say this is a box ticking exercise by the woke left mob.
Decent chance of St Nicholas being married to someone of different ethnic descent to be fair, given that he was born in and spent his life in Turkey.
I would never shop at Boots, for one reason only, extortionate prices!, especially OTC medication prices. Almost every item is £1.50 more expensive then the exact same product at other high street pharmacies. Rip off merchants
I think the uproar was because isn't she the woman who said the Royal balcony at Buckingham Palace was too white during the Royal Wedding ?
Size 10s throw em my way. My 11 yr old granddaughter tried telling her 8yr old sister. He doesn't exist. I've told santa no pressies for her this year . What is it with some folk. They'll be saying theres no easter bunny in 3/4 months. My 40 yr old + sons still get easter eggs. I'm not buying em. So who does. ?
Who sez. Yes, Mrs. Claus is the legendary wife of Santa Claus and a key part of Western Christmas traditions. She lives with Santa and the elves at the North Pole and is known for her many roles, including Baking cookies Mrs. Claus is a master cookie baker who took over the task from Santa when he became too busy. Caring for the reindeer Mrs. Claus checks on the reindeer every day and can tell if one is sick just by looking at them. Preparing toys Mrs. Claus works with Santa to prepare toys for children. Taking care of the village Mrs. Claus manages the logistics of the village, including growing poinsettias in the enchanted greenhouses.
