Were on the same page Big Lil. 1. Nwakali MOTM by a country mile. Hoddle-esque. 2. Pink kit. Love it. Cmon the mighty pinks.
Do any of our statisticians on here have a spreadsheet of results by colour, i.e. Red vs. Grey vs. Pink?
I'll take a point, as some already said, Cambridge were an injured entity after last weeks demolition. A good result for me, onwards & upwards. Big month coming up.
Imho...better second half. We were getting to the first and second balls more and the passing was better. I just thought first half we were too lethargic. The Nigerian kid ....take a bow sir, thats how to run midfield....he doesn't look like he's gonna put Connell type crunching tackles in but my God he can spread that ball about (that's championship standard). Roberts still my man of the match due to that emmence first half that he had to have.....overall pleased with a point ....and there are still areas we need to work on (which is a good thing). Humphries (spelling?) has quickly become my favorite player.
Not so sure pal i think Marsh is probably done for us now and i think another striker or winger with pace should be a priority when the January window opens.
Just arrived in't smoke for Peter Kay tonight, missus insisted on absolute 90s all the way down so only just seen the score. Can anyone summarise to save me reading 16 pages?
Sloppy from us for first 15 minutes then scrappy and an even game up to half time. We pretty much dominated second half and missed three gilt edge chances so feels a bit like 2 points lost.
I wouldn't have him stay behind an hour after training. That would be a punishment when, effectively, there's nothing to punish. He's doing his best. Dont punish him for that. Next, it will be an extra hour's training for kilip for letting a goal in...etc etc...
That's 3 to my count 2 into ponty end Charlton and Rotherham and then today's, tbf today's came at some speed and he was always underneath it
Gets out muscled alot, allows opposing attackers to get an arm across him and get goal side, he's the same with long balls over the top
That’s my issue with him. I’ve not seen huge amounts of him, but when I have, he’s been regularly outmuscled, outpaced and out thought. And that’s before his reckless runs and gifting the ball away that break our shape and leave others to mop up after him. I think Earl is generally much better at bringing it out if we want to bring it out that way, but we have 3 midfielders, 2 forwards and 2 very able wing backs as outlets. Give it easy, keep your shape and focus on the basics. I understand others feel differently and that’s fine, that’s their choice, but DeGevigney isn’t anything close to what I expect from a centre half.
Let's hope that he hangs about after training to practice heading crosses, I'm sure it's something that he could very quickly improve.
