On GMB this morning. Put in a position to respond to the interviewers point of admiration. A man who has to be admired. Principled and humble. We shouldn't be in a position where people have to use their own personal wealth in such a way. I get that. Those that can pay more taxes without breaking the bank. Should consider this when purchasing their next yacht. Copied In December 2021, Sheen announced that he would be giving all of his future earnings to charities, declaring himself a "not-for-profit actor" In October 2024, it was reported that Sheen had used his own money to write off personal debts for hundreds of people in South Wales. He did not publicly announce the move, but fans discovered it when they spotted Facebook posts in local community groups from a television production company called Full Fat TV. Another celebrity who stays under the radar giving much of his fortune away to charities. Not to broadcast. Ricky Tomlinson.
Yes, he still lives in a village between Neath and Port Talbot - no doubt he will be quietly helping the steel workers made redundant by Tata Steel.
Top bloke. This is how you handle large sums of money. All those greedy ******** complaining about paying more tax should take note. A rising tide lifts all boats.
Top bloke. It's really refreshing to see people who know what is enough. Sadly it's such a minority with the majority subscribing to 'more' instead.
Have you seen the programme when he was being interviewed by young people with learning disabilities? He seemed genuinely interested in what they had to say and treated them with the utmost respect. He really seems a lovely bloke and he is also a brilliant actor. I saw him playing Nye Bevan at the National Theatre last April. He was superb.
I thought he was ace as Cloughie, and the likeable thing about Michael is you can clearly see he's a genuine footy fan. And he always seems honest and down to earth, doesn't he. I wonder what his nephews Charlie and Emilio think about him.
I struggle with celebrities are they really like the person they portray to the public or is just a mask. I give the example of that Greg Wallace comes across barrow boy happy chappy but when he filmed at the manor bakery was told he was a proper bell -end then he did that piece in one of the papers and it confirmed it. Good to hear that some people are worth the acclaim they get.
