Hey I couldn't resist posting this one (again maybe), and its from way down at ground/pitch side level. What a night, and what an atmosphere, and what an annoying twot Lee Gregory is!.
Ironically, had we lost to them, they'd have gone up automatically and the almost laughably cruel ending to the season wouldn't have happened. Still a fantastic night, full ground, every player on both sides busting a gut, a topsy-turvy game ending with a win over local rivals - what more could you want!
An incredible night. The game, the atmosphere, everything about it was just brilliant. My sons been going 3 years now and its his favourite ever game, its one of mine as well and I've been going 35 years.
Our fans called sheff weds that night perfectly correctly they where ******* **** and the play off final proved it that they nearly ended up on pens playing with an extra man for well over an hour.
Yeah I know unfortunately, they did win what turned out to be the biggest and most important match out of the three. But it doesn't take away what a great night it was with the 4-2 win, and a rare league double for us over them. if any of their fans are honest about it, they know they hardly deserved that win at Wembley, and they were more than lucky that day. But when I think back to this 4-2 win, I'd say luck was on our side as well, that night!.
We all know how it ended but just watch it drink it in, that night was just what been a red is all about.
I only really hate 5 football clubs. In order they are: 1. Sheffield Wednesday 2. Millwall 3. Birmingham City 4. Cardiff City 5. MK Dons All for various reasons.
I only really hate 5 clubs myself. In order they are: 1. Sheff Wednesday 2. Sheff Wednesday 3. Sheff Wednesday 4. Sheff Wednesday 5. Sheff Wednesday all for different reasons...
