I think they said they will keep this under review. There are some offers for multi buys currently I believe. I think its fair to say that previous early bird offers weren’t seen as successful but I think the club are open to suggestions if you can think of innovative offers to help increase sales/value to fans.
Still moving forward. There was a meeting on 16/10 with all involved parties. Will see if there are any timelines that can be publicised in today’s meeting
Just a suggestion regarding safe standing. If its going to be in the Ponty would say the back 5 rows for example be considered then those below that point can still sit if they require.
I believe the plan was going to be the whole of OR1 up to the point where it would block the view from the disabled stand. Things change of course. This was communicated to anyone renewing season tickets in this area this season I believe.
I would like to ask the following; whilst we are grateful to the board for the financial support the board continue provide, are they actively looking to attract new investment into the club?
They don't honour the current multibuy offers. Last home game both my son and his girlfriend bought multiple items that were listed on the boards as being discounted and were charged the full individual price for their items. When questioning it they were told no offers were currently running.
Are they actively looking at someone else to possibly service the debt when they say we've had enough of this? Definition of madness is continuing to do the same thing and expect a different outcome. One could argue it's working at the minute but every season spent in League 1 loses the club and the investors money. Could they spend a little more and try and get promotion quicker?
I think the most pressing matter that we can't decipher until accounts come out (and then it's way out of date). How close are we to a break even
I hope this is a typo? We should not be buying/selling thousands of disposable plastic ponchos. Recycled/reusable/recyclable, perhaps. Disposable, absolutely not.
I get the sentiment and agree, but there are more than a few sit near me will make a £1 poncho last two seasons.
Ive raised this a couple of times and it was supposed to be sorted. Can you pm me some details please
Tbf mate Many companies have been announced since the start of the season on the news feed. (Partnerships and sponsorships)Plus the announcement of appointment of a chief commercial officer suggests to me they are very active.
How's things gone with Mike Smash n' Dave Nice? Joking aside hope it's been a productive evening for all involved and you have a safe journey home. It's Baltic out there. Just taken dog out for a number 2 and felt like I should have took some kindling and got a fire going.
You know it's 2024 right? You're allowed to use the toilet And you don't need to take the dog with you to watch, in fact it's quite weird
Yeah all very commendable and perhaps I didn’t express myself very well, but I was thinking more along the lines of fresh blood at boardroom level. The monies that existing members contribute is great but it is only keeping us ticking over and I would like to see someone brought on board willing and able to put in the sort of wealth that could propel the club forward rather than just treading water as we seem to be doing at the moment. If we were to get promoted this season it would be a mammoth task to keep us up without significant new investment being put in at board level.
To do that mate imo. they would have to sell the club. I'm not so sure a sugar daddy billionaire would want to be a bit part player. Then there's the issue of the assets (ground etc owned by the council) and the lease. For someone like that, I'd think it'd be lock, stock and barrel.
