The US 'establishment' definitely want it to continue. Just look at who's got the contracts to rebuild Ukraine after the war is over, mate.

 

Well I'd say we're indirectly at war when we're giving permission for Ukraine to fire our missiles into Russia. Abit stupid why not wait and see if trump can make any progress in stopping the war.

 

We've been at war with Russia for the best part of 20 years. Not all wars involve people dying. Russian* disinformation campaigns on social media are doing a great job of getting politicians elected to promote Russian interests across Europe and America.

What concerns me is we're the ideal place for Russia to test their capabilities.

 

Ukraine fired nine of our missiles yesterday to be shot down. What a waste or money we spent that could have gone towards keeping pensioners warm this winter.

 

Except footage showed multiple explosions. According to Russian media they haven't invaded Ukraine, they aren't murdering civilians and committing war crimes, they aren't endangering millions by repeatedly targeting energy and nuclear sites. They haven't lost hundreds of thousands of troops, they haven't had their fleet decimated, they haven't flooded a large part of Ukraine by deliberately blowing up a dam. But yet we're to believe that two of the most sophisticated missile types have failed to get through and every single one was shot down despite independently verified video evidence to the contrary?

 

The money on the missiles has already been spent. We can't put them on eBay to raise some cash for the government.

But, if they have all been shot down, then they aren't fit for purpose and we need better missiles.

 

They're so good we're giving them away.

I don't think we've ever been at a point where we have gave another country missiles and allowed them to fire them into Russian soil. Brave move when your cutting back on defence at the same time.

 

It's strange how the 'shot down' missile debris all came to earth and exploded in the same place though.

 

He'll probably try to cut a deal with Putin , whereby he keeps control of the States and Putin gets everything else!

 

A bit like us sending Shepherd and Lopata out on loan.

 

I don't know what Trump will do or what peace talks might bring, but Poland will not let Ukraine be defeated militarily....the Poles are Europe's most powerful army now and unlike the rest of Europe have been tooling up for several years...I don't see any likelihood of them tolerating Russia on their border.

 

That makes me feel better.

 

There's been some escalation yesterday into today. Putin says he'll target U.K military bases if need be.

 

He won't. He'll say he will, but he absolutely won't.

 

He's got nothing to lose going for it. He only cares about himself so if he's in danger he won't care about others.

 

He waits til January, Trump will gift him the areas he already has.

He attacks a NATO nation, NATO attack him... And its hardly like he's doing a great job against the minnows of Ukraine, is he?
