Looks like the youngsters that are tearing up the IPL are having no problems transferring that into test match play down under. And Kohli another class century. Looking forward to the summer!
India have had mixed results recently thrashed b New Zealand. IPL is priority for most players. India not played Pakistan for along time. IPL almost 2 months now few warm up games for Test matches. Ashes 5 tests in 6 weeks poor scheduling Good to see India competing .
Jaiswal looks more than ready to take on Kohli's mantle. Absurd the number of sixes he's already got in test cricket, but showed he could play more conservatively when needed too.
Next Wednesdays test against NZ starts at ten pm which is ok to watch a session or maybe two ? I’m guessing that Wood is injured but Archer isn’t in the squad either. Is he being “rested” ?
https://www.ecb.co.uk/news/4157931/england-mens-test-squad-announced-for-new-zealand-tour Wicketkeeper Jamie Smith missing first test due to birth of first child stand in Jordan Cox will miss the tour due to a broken digit. Ollie Pope to keep wicket with Jacob Bethel set to make his debut.
Good start to the day seeing the Ausies getting smashed. Can't wait to see Bumrah at Headingley in the summer, if only YCC could sign an overseas player like him!
Do you have a ticket for the series next summer? I’d be all over it but can’t justify the price when weighed up against the chance it could be weather affected etc
Not often they get a thumping like that anywhere, let alone in their own back yard. Be no surprise if they bounce back strong though…..
India have Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma to cone back in for the next test. I think there'll be a few nervous aussies around!
Currently being played … Abu Dhabi v New York in a t[ten and there openers are Salt and Pepper….. I’ll rest easy now
I have, it will be my first ever test match, as well as my dad's first! We're both more bothered about YCCC than England but it's something to 'tick off' and we get to see Kohli, Bumrah, Jaiswal etc.
