    East stand lower

One particular steward kept walking up stairs looking along each row every 10 mins then walking back down .

    Is this a new thing

Does this happen everywhere else in ground

They've been doing it about 2 seasons now.Every gangway has a steward and they walk up the stairs in unison. As for why they do it I haven't a clue.

Regular occurrence in ESL but we seem to be missing Nervous Tom Allen. Not seen him since first 2 games when he tried to help with my sticky floor situation :)

They always do it. They can’t spot stuff if they stay in one place the whole match down by the pitch and it gives people a chance to have a quick word with them rather than having to walk down to the front in full view of everyone.

A steward doing a good job, making sure everything in his sector was safe, give the man a bonus, well done.

We used to call him the hyperactive steward. Used to bounce up and down the steps when the steward on the next gangway used to just plod up and down them.

You could set the game clock by him. Tbh a complete and utter waste of time imo. A public relations exercise in H&S not needed.

Bloke collapses in between walks. "I know what. Tom will be up in five minutes to sort it".
Whilst walking. "Let's take the opportunity to run on the pitch."

He took it to another level remonstrating with stewards who didn't follow his example.
