Doing well so far. Could easily have been a pen against Earl. It was either a pen or a handball by their lad. Not sure how a corner was given
I agree, gave both sides (mainly us shockingly) a few soft free kicks but let the game flow and no controversial moments I can remember.
Thought ref had a decent game , unlike his dad who used to upset everyone in stadium when he refereed
Best ref all season. Didn't do a thing wrong. Didn't give lots of bookings or cheap free kicks. Much better than his Dad.
Maybe it’s nothing to do with him but 3 minutes added time over the whole game? Really? Not that I could have stood watching more…
Thought he had a good game tonight got most of the decisions spot on despite their number 20 trying to con him a couple of times
Was just about to say this, my only criticism was the lack of added time. Very strange, these days it’s normal to see 4,5 and 6 minutes. Especially seeing 3 goals in the second half and only having 2 minutes additional time? Bizarre.
Tbf I think he did well. The game flowed and he seemed to give decisions consistently on the whole. Obviously learnt from his Dad's mistakes!
There keeper was down for nearly mins at one point too in the nd half. Easily should haven been at least [emoji6] mins if not more.
Did anyone else see this? Earl either tripped him or he dove / lost balance & then the player grabbed the ball with his right hand & then let go again before it ran out of play. I was a bit nervous thinking it’s a pen or a free kick to us for handball & then bizarrely he gave a corner even though their lad reached out & touched the ball last.
Yeah, my only issue was the time added on, 2 mins after the subs and injuries seemed well short. Thought he handled things well, but it wasn’t a hard game to ref though.
A very good performance from kettle jr overall. The amount of stoppage time given in a half with three goals and four substitution windows, their keeper having a nanna nap for a few minutes and everything else was at least two minutes short but that aside, he was perfectly good. Much, much better than his old man.
