…where we’ve looked comfortable, yet in that game we still missed numerous chances.

That is simply not good enough. Is there anything we can change defensively prior to January? I honestly don’t think there is, you’re not going to have anyone challenge MDG for that RCB position, no-one challenging Earl for the LCB position & it’s either Roberts or Pines for the physicality in the middle.

The only way Clarke will go to a back 4 is if he plays 4 CB’s as he won’t trust his wing-backs in a 4. We are so **** defensively and we’ve got a monster month coming up.

It’s starting to become very, very worrying this…

First port of call come January is recalling Sheperd.
Pity we’re stuck with MDG, Earl & Pines, all not good enough.

I don't think the problem is up front. When we play forward we look free and at ease. It's that 15 minute flat spells that's doing us over.

We seem to make our errors whilst the game is dead. When it's end to end we're on it and the defence is too.

However, when we're a goal up or thinking about the victory we go to 5hit.

Watch Lincoln away. Or Rotherham at home until Dunn's missed free header before half-time. We looked like the f cuking (pardon the french) Harlem globe trotters.

The one miss set us back loses us our mojo. That's the problem. It's what cost us the win tonight.

Stop sulking. Nobodies going to give us it.

That said. Well done Reading. Thoroughly enjoyable game.

Keep saying it, but I still think its external hangovers when playing at home. Clearly something isn't right. Said last week I think it is slowly improving but its almost unquestionably true at this point for me.

If only we’d signed the striker we all knew we needed since what March/April

Spot on. If any of the numerous chances we created go in we win that game comfortably. There's two sides in a game of football and when you pay your £27 or £30 you're paying to see a match. As much as you'd like it's a match because two teams want to beat each other.

It can be excellent and entertaining just like tonight.

I think everyone with a footballing head can be disappointed at the result, proud at the performance and enjoy the spectacle.

What kind of a reply is that? Merely pointing out it’s becoming excruciating annoying that we can’t keep clean sheets. Does this not infuriate you in anyway shape or form?

It's a reply your utter tripe deserves.

Us winning is great for two reasons, we get 3 points and you disappear with these nonsensical, boring posts for a bit until we don't win again.

Great post. Other than not concede two goals they couldn't have given anymore tonight. That's all I ask. They left it out on the pitch and the ref blue with us attacking.

Poor defending isn’t always down to the defenders. Defending starts as soon as the opposition have the ball.

It's always the same from you, can't remember last bit of positivity that left your finger tips from the confindes of your armchair.
Whatever it will be if its not a full blown childish rant they'll be a dig of some sort.
I can't knock the effort tonight, just didn't get the rub of the green, 1st half our shot deflects hits their keepers leg 2nd half theirs goes in, that's football sometimes.
