On course to give Liverpool their first league title in front of fans for the first time in over three decades.
Also not the type of player Real Madrid needed. They had Vinicius Jr who is close to, if not as good as Mbappe in the role they both prefer. They needed someone who plays down the middle as a more conventional centre forward. Kane would have been perfect.
Not sure of the relevance? They were about 20 points clear & cruising to the title when the season was delayed.
Since fans came back Man City have dominated. Liverpool look like putting an end to it. We are the same in saying our best in recent memory was when fans couldn't go to games.
I hope Liverpool win the Champions League, l absolutely hate Madrid and their champions league tally - most of those recent ones they should never have won, outplayed in quite a few.
He's done whatever all new managers should do, don't fix what isn't broken. Not meddled unnecessarily and let them carry on doing what they were doing so well last season.
I agree Helen, Slot was given a position that doesn’t usually exist though as new managers generally come into a broken club. He his doing very well though.
Ah right. I thought you were trying to say that playing without fans aided them. They were 27-1-1 from 29 games & on course to be the most dominant champions ever until Covid hit. Their form dropped off without fans
Given the euphoria from the Liverpool support 12 games into the season there's a slight chance they won't be throwing bricks and bottles at the Man City team coach on Sunday.
It was so much more than a 2-0 game that. I know Rodri is out and that kills them but Liverpool were so much better in all aspects today.
Mr Guardiola losing his head a bit at the end as well with the 6 fingers pointing at the Anfield crowd not once but twice. Is that 6 losses and 1 draw in their last 6 games? It's starting to look like those bookmarked posts won't be coming back out in May
The six fingers was either childish, frustration, probability of getting sacked, couldn't care less about the result, an insult suggesting Liverpudlians are all inbred or a combination of all the above.
Maybe he was acknowledging Liverpool are 1st and City only 5th? Or a reference to the 115 charges? Or the fact they've lost 6 of the last 7?
Won't get sacked, signed a new contract not long ago. His six fingers was the titles he's won while at City.
