I haven't seen the match today, so I won't pass comment on it. However, what I do find interesting is that if we don't win, some fans immediately blame it on someone they don't like/rate, be it a player or Head Coach.

    It’s your fault Kev.

I’m just happy the immersive shared reality experience won’t be available in San Francisco. I think that would be too much for me.

Really frustrating day we played really well right up to putting it in the net. Hit post and bar. Their keeper made 2 excellent saves and a string of regulation ones
We should have scored half a dozen. No idea how you can blame the manager or our keeper for today

It doesn't narrow it down as he had four excellent chances.

Shot straight at keeper at North stand end.

    Then at the Ponty end....

    Free header over the bar.
Put through by Jalo unmarked and slipped.
    Header straight at keeper.

That's true. I've been and frustrated we didn't score the one goal necessary to progress, but at the end of the day I couldn't fault their effort/commitment, just some of the decision making/ execution in front of goal.

I’m not sure this is when to use the common football phrase of being a versatile player. He manages to miss in a wide array of ways.

    A bit?

We signed goalkeeper as ‘long term first choice’ who we’ve barely seen; another keeper on loan who has been mostly crap and has cost points.

We needed out and out strikers and didn’t sign any at all - Humphrys coming in at the last second and he’s hardly an out and out 9, plus DKD, who’s arguably more a midfield player.

We signed a central midfielder on loan from the premier league who’s decent but who we 100% didn’t need - and barely anyone we did need.

Gent and Roberts look solid signings.

Then there’s the lies told about Hourihane.

Mladen Sormaz is most certainly more to blame than Darrell Clarke. But I’d cry no tears if Clarke left.

Complete and utter smash and grab by Rovers. Battered for 120 minutes but put their bodies on the line. I can't remember Killip having to make a save whereas their keeper was constantly in action. Thought we should have won by 6 or 7 but poor finishing cost us. That miss by Lofthouse was incredible for a professional footballer and summed up our finishing skills. You can't blame the manager for misses like that.

The coffers being swelled in early January would have been useful though.

What was the excuse for being poor against Cambridge, Wigan and Reading before today?

Is it a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a poodle?
