Sam Cosgrove 830 minutes- 1 goal.
    Steven Humphry’s 805 minutes 4 goals
Max watters 609 minutes 4 goals
*Aiden marsh 378 minutes 0 goals
*Fabio jalo 211 minutes 0 goals

No a great read. I included league and Cup minutes.

    * only appearances have been subs in league games so no run of games like others.

A goal every 2 games is a decent return imho. So a goal every 180 minutes. Max Watters is scoring a goal every 152.5 minutes. And his total minutes include 56 at Man Utd when he was clearly unfit.

However, he's no good to us if we can't get him fit.

Yes watters isn't bad if he could keep that up consistently. Been here about 2 seasons in total including the loan spell under Duff and fitness was never a issue before this season. Maybe just been unlucky.

That is grim reading, if only we knew 3 months before end of last season we needed 1 or 2 strikers

That stat also gives Humphrys at a goal every 200 mins a decent return, very few strikers score a goal every 2 games in a season.

Aren't we top of the league in expected goals and chances created. Last few games it's the finishing that has cost us.

And it's every 2.23 games a goal currently.

Our strikers have 250 career goals between them, our goals for is comparable with nearly all top 10 Wycombe being the exception.
We have goals in the team so although frustrating yesterday I'll give them the benefit of doubt.
Someone soon will get a right pasting lets hope it starts on Tuesday.

Look at sam cosgrove since coming from Scotland 146 appearances 22 goals - a goal every 7 games.

I hope your right about Tuesday though

Weren't Jon Stead a decent striker in the football league ? Does he train our strikers or is that left to another coach ?

Chances created TBF means nothing it’s what goes in that counts as we know.
My point still stands that very few strikers end up with a goal every 2 games.
Another thing to consider as well is when you look at the league table our goals scored are on par with everyone in the top 6 with the exception of Wycombe it is our goals conceded that is the biggest difference.

Just under 1-5 record so not good enough for our expectations

Whilst I agree with your point in isolation regarding if they miss what does it matter, but on the opposite side it shows the management side have got us playing well enough to create a tonne of chances. I do think it will click eventually, mate.

I don't think its personnel. It's decision making in front of goal and the chances falling to the wrong players. Lots of times it breaks to Connell for a shot or Earl and Roberts for a header. Keiller-Dun for a header. Cosgrove gets some stick but I'm pretty sure he'd have snaffled those headed misses.

Given what we have we need 3 strikers to hit double figures (league only) and need DKD and Phillips to get into double figures.

We don’t necessarily need a 25 goals a season striker. What we do need is a striker that can be an alternative to Humphrys and Watters and score 10 plus goals.

He’s missed 2 absolute sitters with his head in his last 2 sub appearances.

I’ve defended him and defended him, but my patience is running out I’m afraid.

I don't think he would because the evidence I've seen shows that instead of attempting to head the ball at goal he would have thrown himself or his opponent to the floor

Agree. Heading certainly isn't a strength of Cosgrove's. I'd much rather Roberts or Pines, even Watters, get the headed chances he gets

The problem is most of our attacks come through O’Keefe so most of his crosses are going to hit the left striker, which is always DKD. Watters must be gutted watching the games that he’s injured
