Heard lots of Liverpool fans say how disappointing it was when they finally clinched the title it was behind close doors.

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Man City get an absolute battering. Liverpool played some fantastic football.

And like has been mentioned, I think Guardiola is losing it. His face when he first heard the chant was brilliant. Tried to pretend he was laughing it off but that struck his ego hard. Priceless.

 

Very unprofessional reacting to the Liverpool fans like he did.I can’t imagine Alex Ferguson biting like that,although he would have needed 13 fingers if he did.

They all count of course, just like Celtic have a Champions League win. Just statistics. Winning the European Cup based over 5 home and away leg ties and a final against 1 of 3 other leagues though some would argue different but yes counts in history the same as.

 

Only done it at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man City, clubs who were always challenging for their domestic titles before he got there. I'd like to see what he'd do at clubs like Getafe, Augsburg or Everton.

 

3 different countries, 3 different leagues same philosophy same tactics. He will rebuild City over the next 2 windows into a monster, in his post match interview he said he was surprised at Liverpool fans disrespecting him, of all teams given the respect he has shown them and Klopp.

You're right, he won trophies at the clubs that always win trophies through decades of dominance. He's won trophies at Man City who have cheated to give him more funds than anyone else and now his players have got old and they can't do it how they did before. The rule changes that are coming in will nullify their attempts to put fake revenue streams in to buy their way out of trouble again.

He's a good coach, yes, despite being gifted such an advantage. But he should've walked at the end of the season. And you have to admit, most managers of a top six club would struggle to keep their jobs after the manner of maulings they've had. Liverpool could literally have hit 7 or 8 yesterday and nobody could complain it wasn't deserved.

 

The irony being that in a few months City's wins might not count.

 

Personally I`d like someone-else to win the Prem. But I have a real problem with football fans who want to abuse/goad footballers or managers in the name of "banter" then make a meal out of someone, or in this case Pep, giving it back to them. He definately didn`t overstep the mark from what I saw.

 

He definitely didn't overstep the mark, I just think he was strangely rattled, maybe it's a cultural thing. The chant was obviously tongue in cheek given his achievements, and completely different to chanting it to the manager of Southampton or Ipswich. I'd say that in a weird way it's actually more respectful than disrespectful.

 

Which is a technically harder format, 1 mistake and your out, former UCL format meant you could lose 2/3 group games and still be at a 2 legged format then still lose 1 leg and not have to worry about away goals.
The current UCL format gives even more teams even more scope to have a s.hitter campaign and still win it, Real Madrid have been pathetic but could still win it

 

I don't think you can compare the number of trophies won between City and Liverpool (or Utd or Arsenal either).

Its no contest, those three clubs dwarf City.

 

Fair enough, just cos he's getting a chorus of sacked in the morning doesn't mean he can't reply! He's been in English football long enough not to take it personally!
