It's an absolute dick move from someone who has shown he has zero respect for the law and has given trump the green light to do anything he wants without criticism. Sure he could have done anything he wanted anyway but the democrats could have absolutely slaughtered him for it, now they can't say a word because of one selfish man who put the wants of his spoilt rich kid son above the law.

People can say that if he hadn't been hunter biden he wouldn't have got the sentence he did but if he didn't break the law he couldn't have

 

Thats true, but I don't care about that. Trump does as Trump does and people still vote for him. And now all this has done has given him excuses and ammunition. I dont care what the other side do - I care about my side and what we do to get people on our side. This does nothing but 'prove' to people that 'all politicians are the same'

Its fking disgraceful. And only adds to peoples opinion about the Bidens being corrupt. And I fear it will backfire, like plenty of other things the Democrats have done recently.

Clinton, Trump and Biden have all given pardons to family members, and I'm sure there are other past presidents to add to that list. I don't agree that this should be allowed.
However, what annoys me about Biden, apart from repeatedly lying to the public that he would never do this, therefore trying to avoid a negative impact on the election, is he did right after.
A bigger issue that I have is that the other presidents pardoned people after convictions (and possibly jail time, I don't know), but not only has Biden pardoned his son before sentencing on two felony crimes, he has given him a blanket pardon for any crime from 2014-2024, therefore protecting him against new charges for earlier crimes. I believe this is a precedent.

Yes, for me, all it does is prove that there was in fact corruption during Biden's time in Ukraine with Burisma. It was already suspect he got such a high paying job worth millions yet wasn't in anyway qualified. The democrats are making mess after mess and will yet again continue to empower Trump.

 

Biden was by far a greater president than Trump will ever be, even suffering mentally. Biden did superb for America & that is a FACT.

I agree a lot are. But there's little doubt the Democrats have made some horrific mistakes what have emboldened Trump.

Its crazy that Biden has given his son a 10 year pardon, coincidentally since his dealings with Ukraine began.

Under his administration, they've had record inflation, record illegal immigration, lied about his cognitive ability and not to mention the lies about the laptop censorship and 50+ former intelligence agents confirming it, Afghanistan withdrawal, amongst many other things. People say his legacy is ruined, I think that's a little harsh but could be true. Unfortunately for him I think it will prove to be in time, when in actuality he's done a decent job in a lot of areas - however with the rise of independent media and strategic messaging from the right, that good will be forgotten and the next 4 years are going to be both huge, and terrifying. They have some big members now in that Republican party who parrot Trump, including his VP, Vivek, Musk, Gabbard and plenty of others. Regardless about my personal feelings towards them, they are a formidable force and the Democrats need to improve messaging.

Said it previously, but any number of Democrats would have won this election, including Michelle Obama, Shapiro, Whitmer and even Newsom(who i dont like), so I think THE mistake was not having a primary.

 

They didn't have record inflation. The highest annual rate in America was 8% in 2022 under Biden. It was 11.05% in 1974 and 13.55% in 1980. Its currently 2.6%. (UK hit 9.07% in 2022)

Illegal immigration is difficult to measure because its obvious illegal and people don't want to be caught - however the number of undocumented people is estimated to be below the peak of 12 million in 2008. Like here, most illegal immigration is people who arrive legally on one visa, then break the rules of the visa or don't leave. The most famous case there being Elon Musk who broke the terms of his student visa. The number of people arrested or turned away at the border increased significantly under Biden against Trump (2019 saw 859,000 arrests, 2022 saw 2,200,000). The Republicans also tanked a bipartisan border law under the orders of Trump so they could campaign on it.

Afghanistan withdrawal was forced on a timetable that Trump set by negotiating with the Taliban and not involving the Afghan government. It was left as a trap for the next president. It could - and should - have been handled better, but when the outgoing President released 5,000 Taliban fighters it was always going to end badly.

Trump is also displaying cognitive decline - especially on the campaign trail where he stopped a town hall for 40 minutes to listen to music, or mimed oral sex with a microphone.

The laptop has been investigated and nothing found. However, Hunter Biden is not and has not been employed by the administration. He is a private citizen. Jared Kushner was employed in the White House, then got given $2bn by the Saudis for no reason. Donald Trump is also a 34-times convicted felon and an adjudged rapist who was facing charges for election interference.
