It would just be nice to get someone in who is, actually, a striker. That is to say someone who is genuine capable of striking. There are one or two, Cosgrove being the most obvious, who don't strike. There are parallels with vampires here - the undead. Cosgrove is an example of an unstriker. He looks like a striker, is called a striker, plays the position of striker but doesn't strike.
If you genuinely believe we have a shot with Aasgaard (who's a attacking midfielder anyway, so no chance with Dunn) who's recently been touted as a 3million quid purchase for a championship side, or Sam Smith who has a near 2 to 1 game to goal ratio for Reading in league one, your expectations are far, far too high, especially considering Reading are on the same points as us and Wigan won't be anywhere near relegation zone come end of season. I imagine fans of them clubs would find people saying that quite insulting, a bit like if Peterborough mentioned buying Phillips from us..? I think we will be looking at the loan window, i'd be shocked if we spent any real money after what we've spent in the Summer. There will be deals to be done but I imagine it will relatively late, waiting around for parent clubs to sign their targets first before allowing loan moves for current players
The difference between what WE think are decent and realistic options, as fans, will surely be different to what these owners think.
Or realistic new owners ehh, who keep hiring these coaches/managers, and then who you want to see get sacked. Or how about a realistic (better) new 3rd choice kit instead of pink, can we do that in the January window.
I was looking at Ollie Pearce, looks like he's spent is career in non league, I think if he was good enough he would have had a league club by now, like you say he's 29
