Orient completely dismantled Bristol Rovers a team we couldn't last week, not sure we'll get many points from next 5 games
I’m sorry but we’re now just an average to slightly above average League One team. We’ll finish between 9th and 12th this season. Somehow we’ve managed to weaken what was already a weak front line in the previous season. Sighs.
Definitely another two without a win upcoming. Six without a win for a side wanting top six is embarrassing.
Like someone voiced the other day, if we were playing bad and/or not creating chances I’d be worried, but that’s not the case so I am not worried.
I'm worried about the club because I don't care any more. The cut of a demoralising defeat doesn't last anymore mate.
Meh. He made one great save and other couple any keeper should have saved. Need to watch it back and probably being harsh but could he have done better for the goal? 100% the midfield and Pines' fault however. Wrexham were rubbish, that makes us even worse. Still think we will turn it around though. Performances have improved steadily up until today. Clarke has a big month though and needs to improve drastically to merit his job here. If we're getting trounced every game then its game over.
arguably we didn't but easy to see why we did. 1. Clark's subs..... no tactical change just one for one swaps that weaken the team. If he really must bring Jalo on then take Dunn off or better still Phillips - think I broke more sweat than him tidying my office desk while watching the first half. No loss if he goes. 2. Poor style of play, midfield forever collecting ball with back to direction of play and pass back to defenders who then hoof it up to nobody in particular. They scored with a run into space left by Russell. Can't recall any of our midfield making a longer forward run than two meters. 3. Pines is a bit like a footballer, failed to close down for goal. Why change a defence that is keeping a clean sheet??? 4. Jalo either has 1 mm long studs or needs his inner ear examining. Been around too long and not broken through - won't at this level - harsh but we aren't running a kindergarten 5. No coincidence we had a run of wins when Phillips was injured. We'd found a system, two strikers with Dunn tucked in behind. Fair enough Watters got injured and I'm not sure I'm advocating Cosgrove as a solution but neither is Dunn has an out and out forward, doesn't influence the game enough. All that said.....I'm not sure we'd have conceded if gent had stayed on Oh and MacLean is a vile tw@t.
This ain't it. Did nowhere near enough to win that. Writing was on the wall when he took Gent off for Pines. Midfield soft and Phillips doesn't look interested. Front 2 offered nothing.
We aren’t creating quality chances though, 40 shots and not scoring isn’t all down to poor finishing its the shots being forced/from poor areas.
Based on what? We created little, certainly not enough to have scored. We didn’t miss sitters as we did in previous games, and even if we had we probably wouldn’t have taken the chances. We failed to keep a clean sheet by making ridiculous errors again. The goal was as comical defensively as it was predictable. Can’t score, can’t keep a clean sheet. Defeats are deserved in that circumstance. You can have more of the ball between both boxes but ultimately that counts for nothing. We are getting exactly what we deserve sadly. And there seems no likely end to this run in the immediate future with the squad we have.
