Were absolute dogshìt. Our management team must have known that. Our players must have known that. Anyone with eyes knew that. Yet every time we won/they gifted us the ball, we looked to play the ball back. 1,300 of our supporters on a cold Tuesday night watched us play for a point against a side who are up there absolutely entirely because of a documentary. After missing a billion chances against the last 4 opponents, to change tactics because of a fùcking Disney programme is not good enough. Clarke and the players better sort it out. I'm expecting nothing this Saturday, for a genuine reason at least (because Birmingham have spent about a billion pounds), but tonight was an insult to our supporters and club.
I want him to get a chance but people are venting at the board and that only ends one way mate. Hourihane until January or beyond. Why's Hourihane never barking out on the bench either?
Wrexham are a typical Phil Parkinson side, well organised and direct but absolutely dog **** to watch. They seem to score a lot of late goals at home too. Good luck to them, a club that's on the up and they're second in the table. In comparison we're going backwards with this lot in charge.
I take it you saw the game tonight then? Would you like to give your reasoned view as to how good a side they are and why they won?
OK mate. Having just watched the whole 90 minutes and currently making my way back to my Air BnB, I'll concede that I have no idea about what went on in the game I've just watched. Enjoy your superior supporter status, hope it comes with some perks.
Sounds like we're turning back into a Key-Fill side again. "Adapt tactics accordingly, as opposing side will always be lot better than us" "Clean sheets are kinky" "Cut according to cloth" "Walking a broken leg, two blinds, and a tightrope" Or whatever it was, I've mentally blocked out that dark era...
They're second in the league so clearly doing something right. I agree that they aren't great to watch but it's a results driven business.
Thanks for confirming my original opinion. Obviously only the ones at the game have first dibs on opinions.
I only half watched tonight, so I don't know how awful they are. But at least they've worked out how to win, which puts them ahead of us.
Yep Killip (probably more so DC’s instructions tbh) annoyed the **** out of me today every time we got the ball it was always reset and let everyone get back in shape it hadn’t worked for the majority of the game and came back to bite us whereas Wrexham looked to go forward with purpose and speed -that’s a team I want to support. Sadly our away record is now starting to match our home one. Mid table beckons.
Again a match we didn't deserve to lose however they tested our goalkeeper many times more than we did theirs, despite having the lions share of possession. We were poor in the last third and looked laboured in the second half, Russell in particular. Jalo was an improvement when he came on and could have scored. Phillips never got going and Okeefe looked capable of an error throughout the game as did Pines when he came on. Maybe a change to a back four would have seen out the game as the mid field parted like the red sea for their winner. Killip did well throughout the match I think.
Just got in, and you've seen exactly the gane i have Jamo. A cowardly display from Clarke, perhaps unsurprising though that he was overawed given his pedigree and CV. He probably views Wrexham as a big club, rather than playing the game on what everyone could see. It was absolutely clear that the wing backs had been given instructions to stay back, time after time the midfield were looking for an overlap only for Corey to be hanging around near the half way line. Thats clearly been a specific instruction, as he nornally bombs forwards. The pattern of play was a joke. This formation is a joke - i would genuinely struggle to describe it or draw what it is supposed to be on a piece of paper. The substitutions were a joke - why disrupt a back three that had Wrectum comfortably in their pockets the whole game? Dickering about not replacing Connell when he was clearly massively impaired by the knock he had with Craig first of all not ready and then not done. Why no Nwakali? Why constantly bringing on dogshite like Lofthouse and Cosgrove? Why humphreys off and not DKD? Why is our set piece coach's only trick to heave it into the centre of a crowded six yard box? We lost that game because our management team are inept and soft.
I thought tonight was like watching walking football. Neither side had any pace and it was an even but very uninspiring game after a promising start on our part. The guy that scored their goal couldn’t run for a bus, but the amount of space he found himself in for their goal was criminal, and that was the difference in the sides on the night. We made a ‘dip thi bread’ shaped hole for him, and he gleefully dipped said slice. We’ve got to be better than not doing well against teams just because we don’t normally do well against them. Got to be a lot more pride in what we produce, and less acceptance.
I said at the game Wrexham were nothing special to say 2nd in league to me it shows how poor this division is
At one point during the Second Half there was so much poor football from both sides, I actually forgot which direction we were playing to the extent that when Wrexham scored I thought it was us!
Commentary on TalkSport constantly said that we wasted no time in getting the ball forward throughout the game. Somebody's wrong...
